What's wrong with the can fans? Been running a 6" can fan in my flower tent for a long while now and I love it, plenty of power, smooth and quiet. Just a matter of that particular kind of set up? Seems great for a tent. ???Fuck those can fans!!
Ya in my veg tent I’m just running a 6” can fan passive intake. What's wrong with the can fans? Been running a 6" can fan in my flower tent for a long while now and I love it, plenty of power, smooth and quiet. Just a matter of that particular kind of set up? Seems great for a tent. ???
Im ridiing your question because i need to decide on the same thing. I want to see how much my bill is next month lol.Ya in my veg tent I’m just running a 6” can fan passive intake.
If I had a proper lung room for my flower that was temp controlled I think the 12” fans would be great. I’m just thinking to try and have more control over it.
Ya when your exhausting with ac it def will go up. Lol. Do you have a lung room that you can keep controlled cool temp?Im ridiing your question because i need to decide on the same thing. I want to see how much my bill is next month lol.
I thought it was the same draw papa? Just more efficient because its lit from both ends. I bought mine because they will run both too. Also would love to switch to DE if I went that way but, I can't afford any upgrading right now, not to mention the boost to my power bill from going to DE. That's one great thing about my ballast anyway, it'll run SE or DE.

It wouldn’t boost your power bill. Also would love to switch to DE if I went that way but, I can't afford any upgrading right now, not to mention the boost to my power bill from going to DE. That's one great thing about my ballast anyway, it'll run SE or DE.

I could easuly make one.Ya when your exhausting with ac it def will go up. Lol. Do you have a lung room that you can keep controlled cool temp?
Ok, there you go. More heat output so, possibly a slight boost in power dealing with that?It wouldn’t boost your power bill.
1000 wats is 1000 Watts no matter what it’s powering. Thing with de is you can get the same results from like 750 watts de as you can 1k se so in essence it’s a little cheaper.
I’m other words if your running de at 1k you could pull say 3# and with a 1k se day 1.5#. So essentially less electricity per gram
Heat will go up and thats where you have to usr more elec. But it's still 1000w drawPretty sure it's more to run DE but, haven't actually done it myself. Gotta get @G gnome to chime in here. ???
I think if your lung room temp can be controlled you can cool a lot with the intake style.I could easuly make one.
Yeah, makes sense.Heat will go up and thats where you have to usr more elec. But it's still 1000w draw
Exactly.Heat will go up and thats where you have to usr more elec. But it's still 1000w draw
It seems the same to me. If i pull cold air from the lung room and am still exhausting, wouldnt that be the same? Doesnt matter where im pulling it from if its getting exhausted out right?I think if your lung room temp can be controlled you can cool a lot with the intake style.
Essentially you could exhaust the air as fast as it comes in and if the air from your lung room being pulled in is cool the room will always be at that temp. Just have to pull enough air
In my situation j less I did a lot of upgrade my lung room would fluctuate a lot whicj in turn gives me little control over the temp to an extent
I think lol.
No because the temp will be the same as the incoming air. So it’s coming. In and going out so fast but stays at the incoming temp.It seems the same to me. If i pull cold air from the lung room and am still exhausting, wouldnt that be the same? Doesnt matter where im pulling it from if its getting exhausted out right?
If you have an ac it will still be the same as the incoming air because it’s going or as fast as it comes in. But if the incoming is cold it can come in and go as fast as it wants but it it’s cool coming in so it should stabilize at thag temp. That might make a lil more sense. Lol.No because the temp will be the same as the incoming air. So it’s coming. In and going out so fast but stays at the incoming temp.
In my case if let’s say in the summer I’m pulling hot air in the groom stays hot
If your CONSTANTLY pulling cold air it will constantly be cold.
If your pulling warm air and have an ac it all gets exhausted and the temp stays the same as incoming air. Which is the warm outside air.
Make sense?
