It's worse than that.
I might try to take advantage of it.
It willThe white spot is from light bleaching. Most likely will stay white to the end.
Tell em you sprinkle coke on topYou can rename it snow white and charge 10x the normal for that bud.
Lol
It usually lowers the potency of the strain... i would worryMine have been this way for a week or two now though, I expect them to finish with white on top. Doesn't really bother me. Kinda cool actually.
Generally some strains take more abuse than othersLike I said, I'm not worried about it. Only two or three with it, and it's minimal. There's quite a few that are closer to the light that have no issues. If two or three white tops somehow completely bombs my entire harvest I guess next time I'll care more.
that was my guess,a cacoon of some sort,on ceder trees we get a bagworm that comes out of plant just like that, ugly little bastards and just about the only thing that can and will kill um,,i see the bleaching too,but that is something else,,just hope that something like alien dont grab you from the branch like in alien, hahahah,go in with 357 drawn, lmaoI like that this thread is gathering attention.
I have seen bleaching of leaf and flower.
This is a deeper defect as it involves differentiated tissue growth.
Here is what it looks like now (two days after previous shot)

I will continue to watch it closely.
If it starts to open as an anther pod, I will probably quarantine the branch for pollen collection.
Over three weeks left till harvest.
In review, I must admit that the pictures don't do this justice.
I am able to look at it with inspection magnification, and there is something erupting from this bud. Like a bot fly!
