Tissue study 48hr 1jpg

It's worse than that.
I might try to take advantage of it.

It looks so organized.

What other than pollen can be forming in there?

Definitely not pollen

Maybe you can turn off the hood lights and take a photo with another lighting. Looks like it could be mold. Hopefully it is just bleaching but its hard to tell from the yellow shot.

Another daily record.
Continued growth and development

This is what she looks like from above.
note bleached leaf.

The three spears seen are all on this same plant.

Having grown this found clone for over 5 years, I am quite interested in tracking any anomalous growth and just though I'd share it real time.
If I lead a rushed life, I would tweezer that chunk out.
But I'm curious to see where this goes.

Could be a bunch of white hairs clustered together on bleached calyx about to emerge as a regrowth/fox tail. Hairs kind of erupt like that then open up n spread apart. Or it could be mold, hopefully not tho. Thanks for sharing :)

I have the same "issue" on a couple of mine. It's light bleaching for sure. I'm about the same as you, 5 weeks or so into flower.

I'm using 6 Vero's @ 75 Watts each. The two or three affected aren't even the closest to the light.

Mine have been this way for a week or two now though, I expect them to finish with white on top. Doesn't really bother me. Kinda cool actually.

One of the only things you can do in high heat or excess photons is lay off the nutes a bit... then it still happens

It usually lowers the potency of the strain... i would worry

Like I said, I'm not worried about it. Only two or three with it, and it's minimal. There's quite a few that are closer to the light that have no issues. If two or three white tops somehow completely bombs my entire harvest I guess next time I'll care more.

Generally some strains take more abuse than others

I like that this thread is gathering attention.
I have seen bleaching of leaf and flower.
This is a deeper defect as it involves differentiated tissue growth.
Here is what it looks like now (two days after previous shot)

I will continue to watch it closely.
If it starts to open as an anther pod, I will probably quarantine the branch for pollen collection.
Over three weeks left till harvest.

In review, I must admit that the pictures don't do this justice.
I am able to look at it with inspection magnification, and there is something erupting from this bud. Like a bot fly!

that was my guess,a cacoon of some sort,on ceder trees we get a bagworm that comes out of plant just like that, ugly little bastards and just about the only thing that can and will kill um,,i see the bleaching too,but that is something else,,just hope that something like alien dont grab you from the branch like in alien, hahahah,go in with 357 drawn, lmao

Yeah idk what that is, if it was me I'd lop that thing off so it doesn't spread but if you're down for the science experiment go for it lol
