I would use it now, and then water the rest of the way.. Because like wisher said, they are really green...
Really green mean high salt content. High(er) salt content has been shown to decrease terp and trich production, ie: lack of frost you see on the outer sugar leaves..
I agree

there are 2 schools of thought to "Leaching"
when it comes to the leaching camp

first week you leach hard with a leaching agent
leach and let dry leach and let dry
after that week you give plan water for 2 more weeks
total 21 days the plant will be fully ripened

the other way is
week 1 ph plain water so the plant can take up all that is in the coco
next 2 weeks just water no ph
after the 21 days the plant will be completely ripened

Pretty much all trichs are cloudy. Have been for a while now. Not many clear at all. Maybe 1-2%. So, probably be taking them down next weekend or beginning of the week after that. Gonna be a real bitch drying when it's like 20% humidity in the house. And my humidifier is in my 3x3 tent :/

I think I saw someone post a picture in here maybe with this humidifier. Problem with the one I have now is it can't keep up in my 4x4 tent. between the exhaust fan and how dry it is in the house, can run it all day and MAYBE hit 50%. Thinking this one will do the trick though, says it's for up to 600 sq ft

well get some of that green out of it, before you chop... dry them in the cold basement, garage, shed..

so IMO there was a really great write up years ago about this very situation
here was the consensus...
hang dry on clothes hangers together
keep checking until the outside is crisp
then you pull a contractor black trash bag up over your buds and tie it off on the top of the wire hanger
check through the bag slightly squeezing the buds until they soften .....meaning the have extracted the moisture from the inner core
then take the bag off and dry until crisp again
keep repeating this process until the buds no longer squish....they will be rock hard but there will be a slight give as well as when squeezed they spring back out.....
then they can go in a jar with a humidipak and be stored for as long as you would like
they are both dried and cured completely.....

this works very well

there are other tricks like drying in a large carboard wardrobe box
the cardboard will regulate the moisture coming out of the buds
I have done this and it works as well

of course a Humidifier works well but not if you are running an extraction fan then the humidifier is rendered useless IMO

I would utilize the black trash bag and I would hang each plant whole too.
Do not use a fan, esp, esp, esp, directly on them..
My thinking for MW here is this,
but first let me say this,
imo, INMYMUTHFUCKIN OPINION,,
OUT DOO THAT BOYZ!
imo,,,
you can take the best weed in the world, and fuck it up in 5 days for GOOD!
The dry/cure cause to me they are basically the same thing..
is where great herb becomes, well great herb :)
and I dont know the secrets but I do know you got 2 courses of death.
Over dried and mold...
So MW, I would do the bag, and the lower your rh is in the room you hang them, I would not let them hang for more than a day with out putting in the bag.
Now this next point, is just my weedology degree, working this in my mind..
I talk to a guy once about mold on walls and in high humid places, such as room where we kept supplies..
He said 4 hrs of complete saturation could cause mold. That was their standard.
So my thoughts are 20/4 first 2 days
then after we pull them out the second day we judge just how much re-hydration happened, and as less happens, drop to 18/6, and as it takes longer to re-hydrate, the lower you change that, till you feel confident to put in jars.. Same principals apply in jars, but in jars you can put hydrometers to read rh..

that is how I would attack it MW, if it was me.. Like wisher said, many ppl may have many ideas, way better than mine or wishers.. but im with wisher on bags or boxes.. 55 gal bag hold a whole plant tho

wat up guys:party1:
i agree if u wanna slow it down hang it whole..
i trim wet but anyway. i trim n hang whole... or whole branches.
the trash bags sound logical:badboy:
imo

My basement isn't finished or anything, just dirt floor. So not sure if insects are something to worry about. Garage is probably between -10 and -15 degrees right now, and same story with the shed lol

I have some big ass cardboard boxes sitting around. Probably the easier option. I don't need to run the exhaust fan during drying per say, I don't really care if it smells things up for a few days. Was thinking about just running a regular fan in there, have the humidifier pumping it out, and running the dehumid as well just incase it gets too high. The cool temps part will be easy, I can probably get it around 60 degrees in there

well you want 60 degrees and 60% rh... hang it for 14 days.. in the dark.. I know of ppl doing it faster, but if your a newb, I would simplify it as much as I can, and its hard to go wrong with that 60/60/14

it will expedite how fast they dry. More foilage means slower drying..
I also think it looks better dry trimmed, as well as easier to trim...
But for him, he needs slowest possible at 15% rh in house
ok sure. makes sense.
i find it easier to trim wet and less damaging to those trichs. but i do baby em :D:D. and also have a lot less trimming to do than u:badboy:

14? Dayyyumn. I think I did like 5 days last time and they were probably a little too dry. Granted, the environment was probably shit

I mean, realistically, does one really need to run an exhaust/passive intake 24/7? Or could I get some sort of timer to run it for like 5 minutes every hour for instance

And back to florakleen... should I run it for a few days still or just stick to water?

Wisher said to use it, let it dry,use it again, let it dry, then water from then on out.. Or thats pretty close to what he said about 10 posts back.. Go back and look..
