Ya I caught that on second reading..
Ya its very possible that they are running lower than 68, but how low is the question..
And also its prob been 7 to 14 days ago that it got colder than normal?
Did you have a real cold spell in the last 2 weeks.. poss made the concrete cool off...
Well keep an eye on them and just tag me when it grows its next node worth of leaves...
I can't believe I didn't consider this. You may have solved the mystery. It's been an hour since lights out and water temp already dropped 1 degree & room temp dropped to 66 degrees but sensi didn't send an alert. I swung open my furnace room door to allow some heat in but I may need to make some adjustments to my room temps because I have them slowly dropping for lights out and may need it to stay warmer longer to reserve heat for those 6 hours. I might even lose the ten degree drop it's set at and let it drop on it's own. I'll think on this and remedy it asap because it will only get worse when I flip to 12/12.

Water temp remained at 67 degrees all night and the room temp stayed around 65-70 so both dropped dangerously low although it could have if some heat didn't make it in through the furnace room door.

Im thinking it might have been a week ago when it dipped.
Regardless just run at 300 ppm for a bit and we will watch..

I drained and refilled last night when we were messaging. It stayed steady 310 & 5.8 throughout the night and into the morning so that's already improvement. The last drain & refill done on Saturday at 10am dropped to 5.5 by Sunday morning and 5.0 by Sunday evening. So far so good and I will update again tonight or tomm Morning. Now I need a nap after last nights monitor checks every hour lol.

So how is the ph this evening?

Top off Rez but the water level hasn't dropped below the float valve yet

It's a barrel connected to the epicenter and I keep fresh RO water in it. I haven't even connected it yet so I know that's not causing this. Unless not connecting it is playing a role in it.

Sry didnt mean to leave you hanging.. I noticed my UC was pumping slow, so I had to clean the filter.. That is a place that can build up pythium easy because the roots clog up there..
Anyway cleaned and back on track..

So with yours.. They havent drank no water????
And what exactly do you mean they havent dropped below the float valve? How did you refill the system?
Did you just pump ro water into the system till it was above the float valve?
And was your clones in RW before u transplanted into the UC?

No biggie on the delay. I'm just over here waiting to hit 5.0 lol j/k

I use a mondi and pump nutrient solution directly into the epicenter until I'm a little above the float valve.

When they do drink a lot, I implement the top off. I connect the top off Rez (a barrel of fresh RO water) to the float valve.

I can take a photo or video & email it if you want

when you planted your clones in the netpots did you set your cubes right on the inverted cone?
Im concerned that you are flooding the root crown out when you raise it above the float valve. You cant have the water level at bottom of netpot, then add water up an inch, and let it fall on its own.. That will cause you all kinds of problems.. Including hormonal issues..
You need to set your float valve so that it maintains the water right at the bottom of netpot. I mean exactly at bottom.. Not 1/8 inch higher..
And then hook up the top off so it will maintain the water level at that exact point..
When you change out from now on, you can use the pump and refill to bottom of float valve, and let float valve finish fillin it so we get it 100% at the right level...
How many times you ran this system girl?
Be honest with me lol..
You have an old man this belong to get picked up on a parole violation and now you got to run it and get his bond money up?
Ha....??

You got some pics of previous harvest?
I want to see what kind of plants you grow before in the system.

I've ran it a total of 5 times and every time I ran it, I go above the float valve the first 2-4 weeks... my floor isn't level to begin with and even after some being raised a bit, going above the valve gets levels right under the net pots. I can Video tape my next refill lol. My beginner mistake with UC was having 2 systems side by side because I didn't believe they would get that big but other than that, things have been smooth. I don't use Rockwool cubes I go from Cloner to netted pot every time. I wrap the root around and hold the stem over the center until I fill with hydroton. Prior to this, I was working for pennies in a commercial soil grow so I promise, I wouldn't hold back anything because I have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Ps. My old man couldn't tell you what a net pot is.

Pss. I have product if you really want to see it.

haha..
No I believe you...
I was just wondering when you said you didnt have it hooked up to a rez..
I have mine set up with ro coming straight from the filter at all times...
So it always gets a steady supply.
I also have a ph controller that keeps it at 5.7 to 5.9
And I just add nutes about every 2 to 3 days...

So bare root to system.
And you set the root crown on the inverted cone in middle of netpot..
Well as long as the water stays under all of the root crowns, that is what matters..

Well I would raise your ppm back up to 300 and raise your ph to 5.8 again..
And just keep the path...
And next change out dump the UC roots and use beenies...
And give me a pic of your newest growth...

Sorry, I had a lot happening but do you think I should detach the Evolution and go straight from the Big Boy RO to the my barrels? The Big Boy brought me in at 200 ppm and a ph of around 7.2. I added the Evolution this run and it's bringing me in at 0 ppm and a ph of 5.9-6. Is there any chance that could be doing something? I attached a pic of how I have it (I lazily have the Big Boy flowing into the Evolution because I was too tired to take it down the day I added the Evolution.

I run 200ppm water and PH 7.2, my PH only drifts up from 5.8 to 6.1 over a couple of days. Seems your problem is dropping PH, if what Eventhorizan doesn't work in a week, try putting in your water in at 7.2 and at 200 PPM from the tap with your nuits added on top, include the 200 in your full PPM count, and see how you go, the other way is to use PH up to raise your PH and see how you go.

I'm one ph drop away from setting up the system I took down, running advanced nutrients, and giving CC a piece of my mind concerning their impersonal methods of communication and passing it off as tech support. 2 are not looking like they're going to make it (then again, I have seen canna-miracles so who knows). If I cannot correct this, I want to have another set of girls ready to go.

I'm still debating on whether or not I should give cns17 a shot. I still have my advanced line collecting dust in a closet but I'm just about done with current solutions (moreso for their scripted email support than for their lack of a good product). A commercial grower I know happily runs current solutions and produces great quality. I'm just stuck. Adjusted last night to 300 and 5.8, woke up this morning to 260 and 5.4? Will another changeout cause stress? I have never ever had to change nutrient lines during veg or flower, will this create added stress? Any thoughts you or @EventHorizan or anyone else would like to share would be very much appreciated.

Dont change it out.. Raise ppm t0 350 and ph to 6.0...
As for changing to another brand of nutes in the m8ddle of a run..
Most deff you can switch to a new line in the middle.. Do a really good job of draining the old out....

You have some complicated kit to grow with, so any problem will be slow to work out, like EventHorizon said, give it a week and see what happens with what he recommended, just keep smiling, because once you work out how to get the best out of your kit, you'll romp your next grow.
