Feel free to drop a pic or 3 of that spydrx fixture in here so people know what your talking about.nice that you are able to custom order the spectrum

OK

My 600 was unique at the time I designed it in Feb/March 2014, but it was shipped in late April 2014, about a million years ago in LED technology.

Nick was making separate veg and bloom specific lights @ $1000. When I contacted him I already had several successful grows using my 8 bulb Quantum BadBoy T5 replacing the 4 foot 54w HO bulbs with 5000k + 3000k led tubes @ ~ 24w. This was close to the 54w as 100% of the leds were directed at the canopy. I would use 3 5000k + 1 3000k for veg and the opposite for early bloom, doubling it to 8 bulbs, if I needed to.

Anyway, I suggested that I had a design to make one 600 that could do both, saving the customer money, which would mean more sales. So he agreed using his then custom bar on line template.

Alas, his production line only allowed for a single custom 12" bar and piggyback it into a 4 ft bar. This meant all diode spectrums were positioned the same across all 6 bars (spectrums are impossible to see when lights are off or on), where I wanted the 450/630s dispersed. I also wanted 2 bars with veg spectrums and 4 bars with bloom spectrums. Instead, all 6 bars are the same, but it still produces excellent buds/harvests (see pics). To compensate, I staggered the bars ~ 6"

This is my second grow after removing the diffusers, which significantly increases the amount of light hitting the canopy, as well as deep into the plant
This is a pssive design, so I use a fan that blows air across the heat sink bars, which significantly increases efficiency

His newest company (Fluence), pretty much copied my original design

First picture is current grow

The 4th picture was first grow using it, way back in May 2014

Hey Sixstring what's your thoughts on single heat sinks vs double heat sinks for two qb288s . I will be running two boards per driver , but I was debating I know the singles give u more options if wanting more spread but this route I'll need to build aluminum angle frame..

But the double heat sink with 2 boards on one Is efficient and easy to throw up a few . If I go this route was thinking mounting drivers outside room and jus hanging up the double heatsinks and not building frame. If I go single heat sinks I will build frame and mount the driver on the frame with the heatsinks. One way is lil more work but maybe better spread .. hmm lol

I am looking at the same build. I have the hlg xw 260 with 2 288 attached to the one heatsink for both in veg and I love it. I like not having to build a frame. But the heatsink on mine, they dont sell.

if your going to go with 1 sink for 2 boards i like this because of the spread it gives.no reason to have the boards almost touching each other. 2 of these kits side by side will be better than 1000w hps

I agree, thats whay I was looking for a heatsink like I have on my xw 260. Will get a pic of mine.

No I have not, just been checking there to see if they have any for a while. I will try that route.

Edit; just tried and the email tab at the bottom dont link up, just blank

I took a screenshot of the driver off their page because i couldnt get to mine to look up how much 2 drivers would be. They "whited out" part of the numbers!!! So i got a pic of mine later.

This is the build I am about to start just a quick question six,
The build in the picture by Mo fire looks like its 20mm x 20mm x mm angle am i best to go with that or 12mm x 12mm?
I think the 12mm would fit snug but 20 mm much stronger.
what do you think?

I use 1inch x 1 inch x 1/8th inch thick for all my builds cob and quantum board.you will have to do the conversion to metric haha.

Thanks six
Is the dimmer below suitable for running 2 qb 288 with a 240h-2100b ?
I loove rapid leds cased dimmers but trying to source locally
Features: 3-pin potentiometer with washer and nut Shaft Length: 15mm Resistance: 100K Ohm B Type Taper - linear Maximum Power: 1/2W Shaft Diameter: Approx. 5mm/ 0.20" Base Diameter: Approx. 15mm/ 0.59"
And as for the wires to connect to wagos is 300vac what i need
Cheers
