...ill answer my own question. It is strain dependent and can take 2 to 4 weeks it looks like is my guess. This is pretty neat. I'm looking at bio chem classes now.

So at first it looked like honey oil in a mason jar don't have a pic.. nothing happened and this is my first experiement so after about 5 to 7 days I seeded it and that area took off right away but 2 days later there were little diamond shards all over the perimeter and have grown since. My camera isn't taking great pics so they all turned out like shit here are a couple that did not.
