I would go with quantum boards or a fluence fixture,they are the top choices and technology for now and worth the investment imo.

That’s what makes it interesting. Just like your ten year old computer, might not be as fast, but still works, same things with lights, maybe not the most effective/best, but still works.

That's kind of my point. If I'm going to spend 6k on lights, I expect them to provide for years to come.

Anyways, I can't imagine how much more quality or yeild new tech lights can make post QBs.

Even if it does get better... It won't be significant enough where I'd regret purchasing HLG550s or the SypderPlus..

I was just curious if there's anything better then Fluence atm...

check out the new LED's by Fluence. The Spyder is straight up the best, or so I have heard from good friends and reliable sources. it's also $1500

Spider for the win. Fluence is on top of their game. I am liking what I am seeing. From leew and a few bros bit the bullet and went with them. The colors and terps are amazing........ Yields are very respectable as well.

But to answer your question @PassTheJ the best light in the world is the Sun. :smoking:Man hasn't nailed that one yet. :D

My next generation of lighting will be the spyderX .... after closing on the new home the bank account isn't what it once was. But after years of wanting to and watching the trends and science, when I do have the dinero I will be sporting a Fluence. And nope I don't work for them.......

lot of truth to that comment. There is an actual term in sales and marketing they don't want you to know about...... its called " planned obsolescence" We have the capability of making better goods but that isn't how it workx........

I went with the hlg550s myself,i got 2 of them for the price of 1 fluence.I could have went fluence but i figured 2 hlgs would kick ass on 1 fluence for the same price.I think fluence is a little hyped myself,they both use samsung diodes and probably similar drivers but ones twice the price?I dont see what makes one worth double besides the hype.
