Thats a cool setup.
Some more pictures, including an acoustical seat shaker to use sound from a stereo for vibration, an ultrasonic transducer, and some detail pictures of the pictured Grinning Reaper

Dry ice and a 120 micron bubble bag.

Dee

Im gonna go this route this time I think. I did the typical bubble hash last time and tbh it's way more of a mess than I want to deal with.

So I recently purchased some silk screen mesh. Three various sizes and I have frames to stretch it on. Sifting through three screens necessary? I understand the glands to plant material ratio and finer sifting is better. Should I
A)Sift thru one screen at a time.
B)Stack the screens in appropriate order and allow the finest of material just fall thru with shaking/vibration.
C)Just use one screen.
D)All of the above.
E)None of the above.

Either. Yield is about 50% before it starts to green.
I miss communicated. I was wondering what everybody does with the bulk bud/trim material once it's processed. You now have keif and material that has less but probably a few glands on it. Decarb and make butter? Anybody make tea?

I use an 80 steel mesh screen, it lets a bit of colour through, but other than that, the hash come out golden.

I'll probably just use one screen at a time to get different grades of sift if necessary. I may stack em to see what happens. Now to find an old sander in the garage. I'm planning to do a bunch this weekend. Get back with the results.

Harbor freight has a cheap palm sander about 20.00

I'd use new vs new with who know what particles that may contaminate your kief.

Graywolf at SPR (I dont type their name out any longer) made a keif box with a palm sander

I used a old coffee can. Cut the center out of the plastic lid. Almost completely to the outer edge. Left enough of the lid to snap back on and seal the can. I cut up a handful of dried out bud and placed it in the can. I stretched a piece of 110 silk mesh across the opening and secured it with the ring I just cut. Snapped in place perfectly and kept the mesh taunt. Turned upside down and shook it over a piece of glass. Did well for a first experiment. Lol.
