After that last batch cured i decided to pop 3 critical mass. Very tasty and helps me to sleep really well.

20 x 36 x 62 inch tent
4 inch profilter with a fan running on a veriac to maintain the temps
4 inch monkey filter
Timber 2VL in 3500 (200 watts of vero). Will start it low and check with a veriac.
Advanced nutrients PH perfect grow and bloom. Thats it. If PH is a problem i will calmag
3 autopots.

I plan to top it just a couple of times (4 or 8 tops each) and then i am flipping it. Lets see how fast that works.

can you get 3 plants giving good yields ? 2 plants better yield ? are the lights that god - know aboyt timber subpost to be good light - use-ing now a cheap GalaxyHydro 330 Watt ?UV & UR OK for a cheaP set-up ($90..00 each) NEED TO UP DATE looking at LumiGrow and California Light Works with - each light has a special option - it will change light spectrum for veg or flower - this will be done in their "morning/afternoon/sun set + spectrum control = time setting - but also there is Kind LED's

You can grow 2 and take a bit longer for the same yield. The 3 will be faster. In a 5 foot tent with the timber i will get 8 to 10 oz if i do well. Probably in 11 weeks it will be chop time.

I have a few lights that are more recent tech.

I think out of all of them my favorites are the Timber and my 315CMH.
The 315 is really good if it has the space it needs (3 x 3 is perfect imho).
The timber is really good in a variable space. I can adjust the wattage from 20 to 200 watts very easily (it has a dial). 1 x 2 or 2 x 2 or 1 1/2 x 3 tents all work. I had it in a grow box. I used it to veg and to flower.

3500 is a good all round spectrum and the nodes were tighter than my 3k 315.

And it is a very solidly built light. I have a samsung qb135 in 4k (quantum board). And a 4 k light made of samsung strips (238 watts). Both of these are far more delicate. When you have giant hands and bratwurst fingers like me having something more robust is a good idea.

We can now grow 4 plants legally here. I like having a solid built quality light and making non solvent based concentrates (rosin or edibles) because i will stay out of the news. No fires as a result of the new cannabis laws happening here except for when i spark a fatty.

I think if i had my choice i would only run timbers or cmh. For my application they both worth the best and grow really good cannabis. And what I like the best is i never wonder if my problems are the light.

The lights are top shelf so the problem is CALMAG....always....well most of the time.

What’s “200 watts of vero” mean and what’s a “veriac” ?

The light uses 2 cobs that are 100 watts each
Model 2VL (Vero29 V7 COBs)

a veriac is a voltage controller. Better than a fan controller and as you adjust the veriac you use less power. Eg at 50% the fan uses 40 of the 80 watts instead of a cheap controller that always uses 80 watts and interrupts the power to reduce fan speed.

In the picture the red thing is the veriac. It has a dial that shows voltage from 0 to 120. So 12 volts is 1/10th full speed. I love it. And the fan doesn't make that whining noise with a veriac like it does with a fan controller.

So it’s a transformer then... weird

You can get them for 75 to 100 bucks. It is heavy but it is quiet. And It allows for precise temp control with air exchange. So i can adjust the timber and the fan to get in the sweet spot (78F would be perfection).

Variac is the pinnacle of dialing a fan air/cooling exchange system in for sure

I just found my killawat meter

Everything running full speed is 350 watts including the aquarium pump and thatbonly runs 15 minutes every 2 hours to keep things aereated

Fan on 1/4 and light on low is 75 watts.

I will start the seedlings at 50 watts this evening. Dial it up when they are past seedling and see how the temp goes

Temp may not be an issue at all.

I think this might be a great apartment or small space tent...We will know in 10 to 12 weeks.

2 critical mass are bottom feeding now. The third committed seedicide (or the paper towel was too dried out). Popped a 3rd bean and it will be bottom feeding in 6 days.
PH 5.9
TDS 585
Calmagic (150PPM) Advanced Nutrients PH perfect grow at 2ml per litre in the res.
Temp is 74 F
Humidity 40%
Total power consumption this week is 100 watts (fans lights everything).

You know that cheap papertowel you get at the gas station? The brown never absorb stuff. That is the perfect paper towel for sprouting seeds. The water evaporates slowly out of it and it has very little for the sprout to adhere to.

Turns out that crappy paper towel is not useless.

In other breaking news there was a seed sale and i got a couple of sativas for a good price. A coco melon (chocolate thai X cantalope haze) and south african kwazulu from world of seeds came free (and a white widow).

I am moving in May June so i will have to run these at the next place. My tiny tent will not do them justice.

Ok I couldnt stand it. all those lights just sitting there. Geeze. And 1 left in my 4 plant limit.

Tent #2 is running a bubble bucket with GH trio. I have lots of it. And I will either run a train wreck or a king tut. I am leaning to king tut because it finishes faster.

232 watt samsung strip fixture in 4k.

I will either figure out if there is a Y for a 4 inch filter kit or run the 6 inch on it. I will drop a bean tomorrow.

:D

Tent #1 is moving along well. The middle plant has some rusty first leaves but that happens sometimes if i do not get the ph just right of the coco/hydro pellets when it starts. It will sort out.

All plants are now bottom feeding. Next Friday will be a substantial size difference. I can tell the tap root hit the bottom. 2 plants have been topped already and abused a bit to toughen up the stalk.

I drained and refilled the res. Coco silt was in the bottom of the res and that will just screw something up.

10 gallons of water were added along with GH Silica/Calmagi and AN PH perfect A and B.
1/2/8/8 ml per gallon respectively.
PH 6.1
TDS 550
Temp 23.5C
Humidity 45% (ambient)
Timber now running at 75/200 watts, Next week it will go up to 100.

Steady as she goes. Should be flipping in 2 weeks if it all goes as it should.

Tent#2 has been all sorted with a new 4 inch duct pipe. The fan will have a T fitting to run both scrubbers. It is all hooked up and ready to change when the seedling forms.

I put the light up to 100 watts. My other tent is running at 75 watts. Total power draw for both tents is 280 watts with fans and scrubber and lights. I will probably have to flip the critical mass in the next 7 to 14 days.
