I meant to update about the gnats.

Tomorrow is 2 weeks of treatment. Although i only began saturating the pots about 10 days ago with the infused mosquito dunk (BTi) water.

And in conjunction with the yellow sticky cards hung at the bottom of the plants right over the soil I had only 2 little annoying flyers visible last night during work in there.

Maybe 20 or 30 total gnats caught this week.

Last few weeks more than a few flyers emerged from the top of the pot and drain holes and were increasing in numbers each watering.

I will continue treatment and use the yellow sticky cards regularly from now on for control.

I understand it takes 30 days to be sure all gnats and eggs and larvae are gone.

I will use up the rest of the soil and keep treating till its gone and i see no gnats. Then buy soil at a trusted inside climate controlled source where i have had no problems.

Learned my lesson. How the bags of soil are stored is even more important than what brand of mix we use.
That’s why I water fresh new soil with Azaguard at 5ml per gallon. I want to kill any eggs or critters that may be in the bagged soil. Seems to be working for me so far.

I think that is excellent advice.

Im worried about watering in the seedlings with it and i have tried so hard not to use any harsher stuff.
I've used it with seedlings, clones, and of course during transplant. I've never had any issues. I can't guarantee the same results for everyone, but it's worked for me. Anytime I add fresh, new soil, it's the first watering right away once it comes out of the bag. The rest of the waterings for the following few weeks is plain water because of the nutrients already in the soil.

Seeing all of your variety makes me want to crack open 3 or 4, okay 5 or 6 new strains. Sadly I'm tapped on room at the moment. But once I have some extra space, the hard part is going to be decided which ones. I really dig the multi strain grows.

Really asking not trolling here.

How can these breeders put put so many strains and claim breeding?

I was suggested Exotic the other day and they just released 56 strains.

Swami has so many as well. And they sound too good to be true. Know how that goes.

Probably a ton of F1's. One local breeder i know of has about 2 dozen strains available that he breeds with over 1000 plants every year in greenhouses on two seperate locations, one small greenhouse for male pollen production and a few large ones for pollinated females.

Extensive notes and documentation. Most of his varieties are F1 and quite variable, but some strains he has inbred or back crossed F3-F4 with the P1 and they are pretty uniform and stable. But they dont grow as fast or as big as the F1's.

I'm only just getting into this as I plan to do some breeding this summer, but that's my very novice and basic understanding of it.

Me being just a very small time hobbyist, I'll be able to create about a dozen F1 hybrids with my strain selection, so I can see how a larger nursery operation could do a ton of breeding over the course of a decade

Alright everyone. Please suggest specific feminized seeds for me to research. All suggestions welcome. I have not tried much more recent stuff.

Thanks community!
I dont buy fem very much. I've grabbed chocolate diesel and double dipped strawberries from Useful seeds. 10pk for 60bucks. Both look great so far. Haven't smoked any yet. He also has some great freebies.
Another breeder who I haven't tried but have plans to is MassMedicalStrains.
I want to try his pupilmagoo and mr.epupil. second one supposedly can get over 30% thc. But most importantly I like the vibe I get from this guy.

I think the thing I like the most about your perpetual grow is you have plants going at all different stages, all the time. That's pretty neat.

Mine feels like a 3 month long endeavour.

What i miss is the slow times during seedling and young veg where i dont have to do anything for a week at a time. This way half the garden needs attention every day.

But right now i am smoking a bong with 2 different crosses in it and kief with even more plants resin in it sprinkled on top.

Time to get quite high.
