I've got a Oceanus 1 control bucket that is connected to a 55 gal reservoir. It will keep filling up the control bucket... Its not a big problem yet because itll drain at the same time. But it will continuously fill until i physically remove the pump from the water. The weird thing is I've tried unplugged the fill pumps plug from the control bucket and it will continue to fill unless I take it out of the water/reservoir. That boggles my mind. How is the pump ... pumping if its not even connected to the control bucket? where is the power coming from lol.

im a soil guy but interested,im thinking gravity, does the bucket with control have a float valve in it?

Yea. It's doing everything it's supposed to but after it's cycle it'll keep filling. I punched holes into the reservoir fill tubing. Wonder if this will work.

throw a pic up,i might be able to help till the water guys showup,@Aqua Man is pretty sharp and i have no doubt he can help you out,his ass probally still asleep hahahhh, but ya id like to see your setup on it,is your control box above or below water line of the res?

Driving around for a couple hours. Pics would be awesome. I'm about as sharp as a plastic butter knife but will see if I can't help ya once I have some time to sit down and look at the setup

I punched holes into the Piping where it meets the water at reservoir. Didn't seem to help.

Just a quick thing to check. It sounds like it's a syphoning effect. Place the pumps at or above the water line and see if that helps. I will take a close look when I get home.

But I will need the reservoir pump to be at bottom to pump water up and out into the control bucket. But yea, it only stops once I pull that pump out of water. It's some kind of siphoning effect. I thought with holes in the line it should stop that. Should I punch holes into the drain lines too? Hmm

Raise the bucket itself so that the pump can sit on the bottom and yet it's still higher than the water line.

Nope that won't work. Ignore that. 1 more stop then home and I can take a look at the pics and put some thought into it

Yeah its siphoning. I've never seen it done this way, usually the master res is elevated and feeds the control bucket from the bottom of the 55g master out the side, not up and over the top, its normally connected lower down and uses gravity to fill the control with a float valve in the control to stop the flow.
Setup like you have it, it will just keep filling once the pump primes the line.

yeah i was just going to comment on that. Feed from the bottom is usually what i have seen and how I would build it.

OK lets get some info here. You have the correct sensors installed in the proper places and connected to the proper controls right? so drain sensor is in the bottom and fill sensor is in the top and they are connected to the proper terminals?

You also have the fill line on the top connected to the one without the hose that goes into the bucket correct? Not the fitting that has the hose that goes to the bottom.

You want to make sure that when filling anything both res and control buckets that the line filling either of those buckets does not go below the water line. That will prevent siphoning. So anywhere you have water coming into a bucket/res the line should not reach the water. Pumps should be pumping out from the bottom and going into the top where the water should splash into the container.

If you are still getting siphoning into the little buckets. raise them up 1 foot and see if this stops the siphoning.

My other setup right beside it works fine. Yea the line feeding into the bucket for draining is above the water.

Yea lines are connected correctly. Sensors are correct as well.. This was the titan Flo and gro control bucket that was connected to the titan reservoir. I switched up the lines to it to connect to a new big reservoir for other room. It worked just fine before that. Only difference is I haven't installed the grommets yet. The drain attachment on titan Flo reservoir is like a L shaped attachment.

Does the new line go below the water?
