New flower light upgrade from 9 qb132 in 2700k to
5 132qb 2700k, 4 132qb 3000k v2, 4 48 led Samsung strips 660nm:730nm= 1:3 far red + deep red. (24w per)

What ya think? Should be a decent improvement. I love these quantum boards and strips, you can always be upgrading and diversifying! I would put this DIY fixture up against the best on the market and have been getting 2gpw, now I expect even better product at the same rate. Give me some ❤️

This is with the boards at half power btw....

About to throw half a dozen plants, 3 strains under this and see what it does. Not planning on a ScrOG just have 6 I have been training that I want to just flower. I may ScrOG them lol but wasn’t looking for a heavy yield just a nice mixed harvest. Also i wanted a much shorter veg time as I get my cycles back in order.

If anyone cares the diy cost to build as it stands is 685$. Including digital multimeter displays and external potentiometers, frame... everything. 375w of 2700k+300w of 3000k+100w of red=775w from the wall of precision grow lighting 🙏🙏🙏 that’s .88$ a watt 🔥🔥🔥🔥✌🏻

Just to get the flower tent rolling I tossed these girls in. I have a few clones in that I’m sexing for another project but wanted to get somthing in the tent flowering under these new lights! Currently running 400w mixed 2700 and 3000, 100w of red and far red (30%below max is what I have supply set for so math is off on reds total output but 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Been awhile since I posted but thought I should give some updates shots. Same strains I have grow several times. Same nutriants, same everything with the exception of the red led strips. Why I have noticed is that there was almost no hight jump during flower for the blueberry kush and the white critical, the vanilla kush did grow slightly taller but overall and compared to past grows. The increased red definitely had a serious impact on flowering hight. The colors! Never have I had so much purpled and reds. The flowers are coated with trichromes and when scoped there is very clear increase. Flower density still seems to be there, but the hairs have increased exponentially. Overall I have to say this was one of the best upgrades I have done since introducing quantum boards to my grow life. Only a few weeks out
