Third week of flowering and the leaves are turning yellow to brown and dying and spreading fast please help!!!! Running 2 1ks in a 4x8 tent with cool tubes vented. Any advise would be greatly appreciated . Thabk

Which bloom? (Kind, Pure Blend, CNS?).

It sounds like you cut N too much (using "bloom nutes" too much). Perhaps overfeeding, but I need to know which "bloom" you feed.

I can't find the NPK for Mammoth P. Ignoring that product for a moment: the NPK ratio you're feeding doesn't sound bad. Assuming that's Botanicare Cal-Mag, what you're feeding an NPK ratio 1-1-1.67. That sounds good to me. (But, Mammoth P probably affects that. It doesn't provide enough info.).

They don't look overfed in natural light. Maybe just needs more N. Maybe go back to what you were using in veg. Or, stop using the Mammoth P.

You cut Nitrogen way too far back. The pbp soil bloom is no good for the flowering cycle in promix.

I also use promix and pbp but I use the grow formula all the way through week 6 of flower, and just use the soil bloom as a ripener at the end like a pk booster. If you want to run a bloom specific nutrient with promix you would need the pbp hydro bloom. Sounds crazy I know, but promix doesnt need the extra P, and those plants really need the nitrogen right now.

Stop feeding "soil bloom" nutrients and go back to the grow formula. Trust me on this one.

Also cut out Cal-mag completely unless you need it. But you shouldnt as there is probably loads in the soil already. When I add calcium I usually stick to Calcium carbonate, sulphate or recently calcium silicate. And only feed it on water only days.

Are you checking runoff ppm? where is it at?

That would reduce N even more. I would get more N to it. (Less bloom nutrients. However, the NPK ratio of Bloom and Calmag, if it's one of the calcium nitrate calmags, isn't bad for that stage of flower. But, I agree with dirtbag, being formulated for soil could be a problem. You're in soilless.).

I would just go back to your veg nutrients.

Honestly a res full of Calcium and phosphorus is a recipe for disaster. If feeding the calmag and bloom on seperate waterings maybe but tank mixing Ca with a high phosphorus nute like soil bloom could easily lock out both Ca and P and inhibit N uptake as a result.

Way easier to just use 600-700ppm or so pbp grow on a feed/feed/water cycle and call it a day.

Another question is what's your starting water? If tap you dont need to add extra calcium. If RO, youd be better bringing it up to 100-150ppm with calcium carbonate before adding pbp grow. Keep those high P nutes out of the mix until the last couple feedings.

I would run whatever your normal amount of fresh water only to a good 20% runoff and right after a low to medium strength dose of a balanced complete fertilizer. Also to good runoff. Pure blend pro grow works great.

Not speaking for MiMed but I think he meant flush with water till 20%, runoff then immediately give it a dose of nutes.

I'd do pretty much that, I'd feed straight water till I got a bit of runoff then give it about a half feeding of 700ppm pbp grow. You'll get tons of runoff from the nute feeding but it should correct your problem. The idea is to rinse out some of the excess P then charge it with a properly balanced solution.

In my experience, it's best not to check promix runoff ph. I only ever concern myself with input ph or slurry test ph. I like to start at 6-6.2 in veg then 6.2-6.5 for flower.
Runoff ph can be misleading and cause people to make knee jerk corrections to non existent problems. Often making things worse. Runoff ppm is important to monitor though.

The problem is once it starts yellowing like that early it’s tough to get it back in check again. It could be lacking potassium at this point and maybe not had enough nitrogen through the earlier stages and into early flower. Hard to say though. Could even be the other way around. Or could be lockout, or rootbound. Maybe with some foliar misting. It could rejuvenate those leaves a bit. I don’t want to say to add anything because I can’t really properly diagnose your plants. I’m just giving a hypothesis.

I agree with @Dirtbag ’s comments above. I only add that with decent water there is no need to ph pure blend pro grow in my experience. (Which is no where near dirtbags. He has extensive experience) I use 150 ppm (.3ec) 8.0 ph well water with some sulfer and iron and very little mag successfully.
