I only use the little dome to protect the emerging seedling. The cap on top is open and i remove it when i see green above soil.

Im sure it isnt needed but i have always done it since i overthought things when i was new.

The dome with the moldy clones is not pictured. It was a standard clone dome. That i needed for the clones.

sometimes I kill it with the tray, dome and root-riots, other times I have the same or similar issues you're having and have lost whole trays and choice cuts more than once, but so far I'm 100% with the bubble cloner!? Not planning on going back to the tray and Dome. Maybe give it a try? Good luck!

Most seem to go that route once relying on cuts to go on. Yours have been looking fantastic!
