Well it’s harvest day. Busy busy day. I’ve been taking some pictures along the way but I’m on a real time crunch so I’ll go through them in a day or 2. I’ve got all the flower removed from the plants and trimmed about 1/3 of it but I have to call it quits for the day. Been taking lots longer than I thought. Can I leave the untrimmed buds laying on top of each other in a storage tote overnight or is this gonna cause problems. Currently the storage tote is in the tent with the trimmed and hanging buds. ✌ and ❤ Here’s one pic for ya

No you need to hang the branches or remove the buds and lay in a drying net. If you put wet buds in a container all may mold. They need air movement all round them.

Thanks mimed. I hung most the bigger stuff but I had to put some of the untrimmed stuff in my net basket since I ran out of hangers and I don’t have time to improvise. I figure it’s better than the tote they were in all stacked on top of each other. Man... I was unprepared for the amount of flower. I think In the future I may just hang the entire plant and dry trim. I know it takes longer but it seems like once it’s dry there isn’t quite as big a rush to get It trimmed .

The old guys out here hang whole outdoor grown plants in the barn and put tarps under them. Then they just strip leaves and trim at their leisure while the plant slowly dries over a month or two.

Some of the best tasting weed from the slow dry it is.

Well final weight is in. A solid 20 oz of some sugary buds. They’ve gone into a container for curing. I may have dried for a day to long but I don’t think any major damage was done. I’ll try to get a few pictures in natural sunlight tomorrow. I want to thank everyone involved in this thread for some sound and solid advice, also big thanks to everyone keeping it civil. I’ll be starting a new grow journal at the beginning of December. It will be 6 northern light autos. Hoping for a good run. Well until then ✌️ and ❤️

Once it's dry you wanna get it in jars to cure and you don't want leaves on. In the future take branches off, several at a time, trim and hang leaving the plant growing. You end up with more jars but it spreads out the work over several days/weeks, depending on the harvest.

Nice grow!

Yeah I was watching urban grower harvest and that’s what he did. I plan on buying a smaller drying tent for next harvest so I can do that more easily
