Exactly humid air around the base of the same may lead to roots trying to grow. Those little white bumps are roots. But not to worry they will air prune the same as roots in soil you see in nature. The air will basically tell the root "wrong direction pal" and it will start growing deeper.

Once cause for concern within reason. When you see those little white bumps on the stem above the soil it's an indication that the humidity around the base of the stem is a bit to high. The cause is not enough airflow. Now this is not abnormal to see some right above the soil but it is an indication to increase air flow a bit around the base of the stem to prevent infection, mold or fungus that enjoy these conditions. You would be surprised how little air flow you need to avoid this. So don't go putting fans blowing right at them.

This goes way back in the thread where I said you will have poor airflow if you can to roll down the rim and you cut with scissors which was a good idea.

Tldr: just increase your airflow a bit. And it's good practice to fill pots completely to get good airflow at the base of the stem.

10 4 bud thanks for that info. Yeah imma add soil today when I get home. I'm thinking once they dry out they will be moved to a 3 gallon pot. I'll trim some of the leaves on the bottom and bury her good. I never knew about those white dots being area where roots would grow. But as you see in the pics they are. All this is new to me but fun. I think my next go around will be a very easy one. Since I have made a few mistakes this go around. But I feel they are small and minor. But that's just me and what I think. But thanks again you guys are great always giving info and sharing knowledge. And I hope to put lights up so you guys can all see them.

Does anyone see sex?

A couple of those pics would have sufficed. ;-)

It is still to early. No sex is showing yet. If it shows preflowers they will be tiny calyx with 2 thin whispy little white hairs sticking out (pistils) or tiny hanging balls on a stalk.

Some strains dont show for months in veg if at all until week 2 or so in 12/12.

And some strains show around week 5 from sprout. Maybe week 6.

Thats my experience anyway.

So what exactly did I take pics of just part of the plant I guess?

Thats the right spot. But its those tiny new growths that would become preflowers. You wont miss them. Its just too early. As close as you are looking you might actually see them grow. ;-)

Ok this is where I'm leaving it paper and lights all the way down. And at that height for now what you guys think???

Also i find it good to have the circulation fan in between the lamp and canopy. I point mine up a bit until I see flutery leaves but no branches bending. Pointed up draws cool fresh air up through the leaves.

I have 2 of these lights bolts at lowest and the other option at the lowest also.

I only said raise the board because you can see the plants leaves adjusting on an angle to get more light. Up a few inches will also be out a few inches for coverage.

And you got another one to hang?

Oh i see that is the 2. So 240 watts on max. Which is probably equal to a 400 hps for growth. Should work great.

I have the lil fan sticking air in and a fan on the other side much bigger sticking air out. I also have my ac on at the moments set st 59. But only goes down to 65 64.

No that's 2 light hooked up now.

Nice pic :-)

I didnt realize you didnt have an inline fan exhausting out the top.

If what you are doing works work it for sure. But the leaves look a bit stressed and i would adjust the air flow til i saw improvement and raising that light a couple inches to cover better will still work good. Its not power. Its footprint.
