dont over do it at first bro,keep the ppm a little low,the lower they are the more the roots search threw the water for food,let them get about another inch longer and then bring your feed up,thats how i use the system,if you watced that video,the 55 gal barrel he started in was just water,and that one plant was only 4 days old above ground with 3ft long roots,it was searching for food
with your thumb nail ,scratch difrent sections of the stalk,just a scratch will tell ya green or brown,if brown prune it off,green let it be,beans can take a little cool weather but rock when it hot,try bringing them up to were your medicne canopy is were it hot,might help,i still havent got my pepers in cups yet,im lazy bastard
