Be very careful here..Lots of trolling going on. I recommend staying with known diodes and known drivers! Do not be taken in.
I would also stay clear of Epistar anything..They are cheap and burn out fast. Cree and Oshram are what you want for the far red.

I have a slew of Samsung based lights..HLG, Atrium, Photon, and now the Kingbrites. For the $$..Kingbrites rule!
Everything is pre-assembled..even the dimmer. You just wire in the driver and hang the lights..10 minutes!

These are mine purchased 8 months ago when I dumped my burples..Vipar and Mars will not compare..PERIOD!

I bought the 3000k since I use mine for flower. (the light in the middle is a Unitfarm Burple..WITH CREE AND OSRAM diodes:))

If they made leds with easy to replace lights. My tone would be different. And wow Beautiful plant. Don't get me wrong. I love leds. I just want the truth.
TY..They ARE easy to replace..Just unscrew 4 screws and detach two wires..then reattach a new panel and done!
These are surface mount diodes and you don't manually replace them..ever. Expected lifespan of the Samsung diodes is 50,000 hrs.
I am not attempting to convert anyone from HPS..but things in LEDs are moving fast AF!

VIPAR was nabbed a few yrs ago using forged approval stickers..This was uncovered after a few fires! LOL

Not that I'm gonna switch anytime soon but. Nice, that sounds ideal. Shit happens, not worth the down time. Get it back up and running asap.

I agree 100%. In fact, I sold my cheapo burples (Meizhi), kept the Unitfarm (got it free for testing it), and also kept my older HLG 132's and Atriums..both with Sammy diodes. I have spare drivers should anything ever happen (I am a small grower..only for me), so I am pretty well set.
One problem that I didn't mention is that IF you must replace a panel, it is best to replace it ONLY with the exact same panel. It is said that thermal runaway can happen, but I have never heard of it happening with these chips. Again, I have never had that experience, but have heard and seen Burples where diodes (not surface mount, but traditional) burn out.

In the middle bluple light seems good. Mars will release the new light with new chips this year, Samsung, Osram and Cree on the list, which one you think is the most for the white full spectrum LED light?

My vote goes to Fluence Spydr-x or Spydr 2. They are a bit more pricey, but damn those lights performs and kick out a serious amount of PAR. Both great for veg and flower, doesn't produce a lot of heat and are passively cooled, so no chance of failing fans.

I hear that. Quantum boards are tough to beat right now. With the lm301 chips, mean well drivers, easy maintenance, and great price. I'm surprised more people done use them.

I have been growing since 1997 but am new here & I work for no one other than myself nor am I associated with any maker or supplier or anything..Ok I made the switch from sodium to mostly LED after I went in a local grow store & they had a what I assume is a chinese fixture that was used & they wanted $200 for it, its one of the ones with 8 bars, each bar is 36" & the the whole fixture is 36" long so it perfectly covers a 3x3, this particular one has 6 "arrays" in each bar, each array has one 6000k small cob style flanked by 4 small led's, the 4 little or regular led's consist of 1 420ish NM blue with with 1 far red & 2 photo red's, the light has a pink hue.. it is a 480 watt light (about 510 watts at the wall).. Oh BTW I went to the grow shop after either a new ballast for a 1K SE HPS or a new capacitor for my old ballast and I just couldn't pass up $200 for an 8 bar LED fixture even if chinese (this fixture has no name on it) to test the LED waters finally (this was almost a year ago now just FYI). Long story short that 480 watt fixture easily matched the yield I get from a 1k HPS using less than half of the actual watts from the wall & there is no way its a phenomenal fixture or spectrum yet it kept pace with a 1k HPS? Hell ya & for $200 that I paid, sheesh I was floored. Since this time I have purchased a 320 watt 4 puck Chilled Logic/Growma5 set up & a 320 watt 3 board HLG Rspec set up + 2 260XL (2 board) HLG set ups (each one with a 240 meanwell driver that will hit 260 watts).. I still have 1 1k HPS in the set up (a 9'x9' room).. If you buy half way decent LED's they will match HPS, If you buy top notch LED's they will blow away HPS in yield but I still swear that the HPS = a tad different product, not better or worse, just different thus I think I will always use some type of HID along with LED's, I think a CMH or 2 along with LED's is prolly the way to go IMHO, best of both worlds, I think you really want that infra red & UV in HID & especially CHM to achieve the highest quality product. I attached a pic of the chinese LED fixture that changed my views on lighting for growing because I never believed half the wattage LED's could out perform double the wattage HID's but that's a bet I would have lost big time

Oh I left out the next LED's I will be buying will be PLC DIY, I will build a either a 4 bar 320 watt with 8 2' PLC strips (the new ones even have new cree's for the red diodes) & of course the best samsung top bin white diodes or I will build an 8 bar 16 PLC strips 640 watt, Its about the same cost as DIY chilled/Growma5 or HLG's DIY of the same wattage but the new PLC strips are superior IMO because of the new red cree diodes he is using in the PLC strips.. Just my 2 cents after hard core studying LED's this past year & after several LED purchases.. I really like the HLG lights but I think strips would cover even better & more evenly like the 8 bar chinese light I have does! (Oh BTW PLC stands for Pacific lighting Concepts)
