Woke up this morning and my crit Kush is looking like there is a problem.

Water temp 22 C
Ppm of 979 says my meter but I suspect it's really around 400
Rh at 60%

Im 5hinkinh cal mag deffiency? I'm using tap water that is very hard.
Plans today to do a water change using Ro water.

Using optimum hydroponics 2 part grow formula.

What do you think?

How are the roots looking?

I have to ask..why cal/mag with hard water? And we can't help with a guess on ppm..I run @250 at that size..my well water is 165 ppm..and pH of 6.-6.5... I'm thinking lock out..and yes all I run is dwc...is it city water or well water?

City water I have a ppm ec meter but it tells me that Ro water is 750ppm also tells me my tap water is 750ppm and I can't find calibration solution locally yet. I'm actually going to an water place to have them calibrate it for me ill update when I get the results on the ppm. Is lockout not caused by ph fluctuations? My ph has been steady at 5.8 steady.

The yellow on the lower leaves are from a hp problem at the start. The calmag was an opinion of a knowledgeable friend.

Sorry for the multiple posts I can't seem t ok figure out how to edit. The meter I have is brand new. And was calibrated at the hydro store I bought it from but I've questioned the accuracy of it from the beginning. They calibrated it with a 1340 solution should I stay with that solution or maybe use a different ppm solution? The hydro guy said that was the scale I should use. Seems awfully high ifi should be reading ar 250 ppm.

@Nugg is that supposed to be two different charts?.. Its helpful info, none the less..

I got it calibrated right now and got some Ro water with a phof 6and ppm of 8. Changing out buckets tonight after mixing my nutes what ppm lvl should I be aiming for? Plants have been in the dwc now for 10 days or so and roots are just getting submerged now on this plant my alcopolco gold has huge roots and whatta difference between the plants

Ok water all ready new readings now
pH 5.8
Ppm 475
Ec 1.0
The buckets are dirty AF a white film on the bottom but roots look good and healthy bright white no slime or staining at all.

Appreciate the imput. Will update tomorrow if something changes.

Thanks for the chart. If I'm reading it right I'm pretty close to those numbers for week 3.
Thanks again

I suggest getting hydro guard for root protection..and it's really a size thing more than a time...it not the size it should be at 3 weeks in dwc.. just me...but I'd start low and watch and see if they needed more...like 250-300..and raise pH to 6.2-6.5 area..it's not supper critical..but above a 6...good luck

Everyone else is telling me ph of 5.8 is ideal as to why I've been adjusting it there

[/QUOTE]..and so I was told and read on some post when I first started rcdwc...but..not so..try that chart...you can very off..I do....I run my water @ like 74-78°..air temp I run 85°..EC.. pretty close..I adjust as needed, you'll get the hang of it...oh and I veg..30-45 days.. depending on how I feel....most good nutes will still make everything available to the plant over a large pH scale.. that's nutes designed for hydro..they do something to make the minerals easier to consume...but still higher is better...I start everything with my well water..not ph'd..7.1 for couple weeks then drop to 6.0 end of bud..

6-6.5 in hydro??? That should be around 5.8 - 6...otherwise you do get lock out.
