The only rule that truly keeps a grower safe from the law and criminals is still rule number one.
Tell no one.
Otherwise there is always risk.

Man, you guys are really making me appreciate where I live. We just dont need to worry about cops or thieves here unless you've got a monster of a grow show. I could name probably a dozen growers within a 5 mile radius of my house lol. And everyone here knows the score.
Reminds me why I moved to BC in the first place.
Yeah, anywhere else I'd agree, even in BC, but my little island only has one way on and one way off via a small ferry. It's honestly like going to a different world. Literally everyone knows each other and when anything happens here its dealt with swiftly by the locals. I remember a few years ago a neighbours shed was broken into and his tools were stolen, and within 3 hrs the thief was found and given a stern talking to with a 12 guage pointed at him before being escorted to the ferry.Even so. Its only safe until it isn't.

Last time anyone was legitimately ripped off that I can recall was last summer, A buddy had his entire outdoor harvest stolen by a pro ripping crew on the last day of trimming. They lost upwards of 350 pounds. Ripping crew had placed a GPS tracker on their van and used listening devices to time the theft so they could steal it right when they were down to the last bit of trimming. But it's hard to keep things quiet when you employ over a dozen people... And again, that's what I mean by it has to be pretty big to get fucked with here. A grow down the road from me produces as much popcorn for the extractors in a single run as my entire shed pulls in a year.
Fence off the back yard and get 3 of these:)View attachment 947073
Island towns are definitely different. My neighbor has a cabin on an island up north and says the same thing about crime there.
Its all I use, I run into problems and use to many nutes with 5 gallon. I only have 5 ft under my light so I have to keep them shortAnyone on this thread use 3 gallon pots as your plants final home rather than 5? I’m thinking about running 3’s rather than 5’s this go around but curious to know the whys and why nots if anyone is willing to shed some light. Only looking to grow my plants 3-4’ tall max but I do run a trellis and Bush them out pretty good. I’m thinking 3 gal should be enough space. Input?

Nice! I think that’s what I’m doing this time around then. My tent is only 5 feet tall and even with the light all the way to the ceiling I still lose close to a foot if I want to give the plants a minimum 6” clearance so I was thinking that 5 gallon pots might be over kill. All mine are in final 3 gallon nursery pots.
