I am thinking about growing peppers or green onions in the tent. I was thinking about jalapenos then I read that green onions also help with repelling pests in the tent. Does anyone grow peppers or green onions in the tent with your plants on there?

I have some peppers started and growing in some small buckets waiting for warmer nights for moving outside. 🤷 i dont keep them in the same spot, no, the peppers and misc. Other vegis stay in my girlfriends daughters room, she likes them and thinks the blurple lights pretty hah

Lol thanks for reminding me to water them. Pulled em outta the tent because they were taking up prime real estate. Cuban El, Cayenne, Tomato, and some failed kale... gonna get em in to some real containers soon I guess I expected it to be warm enough to put outside by now

Same. Lol this week we have 70s during day then boom 45 at night. Instantly slaughted the cucumbers we had started we left on the patio one night, next day they were just yellow empty corpses in the dirt :( will try again later in the month.

I started 6 differant peppers, romas and cucumbers in my tent for 3 weeks before setting out.
I lost the cucumbers to a late frost but everything else is doing good alreay.
93* here today.

Thanks. I am in an apartment. I would keep the plant in the tent the whole grow. The jalapeno peppers would be nice to have though I do not think I would have a lot of room int he tent for that and think 1 or 2 small things of green onions would fit better in there. Do you think the buds would absorb any of the smell from the green onions on there?

I found some tomato volunteers growing in my main planting bed a couple days ago. They were mixed in with some fava beans (roots) so a little hard to dig them out. After about 1/2 hour they were down laying in the dirt. So I wrapped em up in a plastic bag. This was about 3 days ago, so I took em outside late afternoon (as it's all cloudy and cold), but it was too much, and they started going limp. Looking better now that they're back under the "dome". I feel just like Matt when he was trying to save his potatoes, in Martian.

The crazy thing is that I have some mystery animal digging (only) in my container onion sets, I didn't think that most animals went for onions.
Especially when there is a fresh pile of compost scraps just there for taking a few feet away. 🤔

My concern though I’m not sure if it is unfounded or not... was plant borne illness or something Wild and unanticipated affecting a 4 month grow. I would be furious if my Sour Diesel got some onion aids or something

I'd be more worried about the oils in general, peppers and onions both have some pretty wild oils produced and would hate to go to spark a bowl and hit straight jalepeno or onion flavor if any if that ever got on the flower, sharing same space lol

Just planted the last 32 peppers.
My help is lazy!
We have 16 Romas out and they are starting to take off.
Medicinals also, lavender, Ma Huang, papavers and mints.
Oh, and little Maple tree seedlings all over!

Have you checked the soil? I've had problems with squirrels burying their stash in my pots. Never had a clue until after harvest, emtying pot and seeing a half dozen peanuts in my root ball.
