never heard the song, that i know of. my friends chased em. never appealed to me.
every time u post em, I'm blown away. even thought i read some poe influence.
now, i played the beginning and it's very different than the songs i remember not liking.
i could actually listen to that, today, in the right mode.
i like it better when i read the ones you've posted, than when i hear em sing, oddly enough.
how many of their members (I'm assuming this guy's GD member), could write so fluidly cause the other one and it may, or may not have been Garcia, was just as good.
it'd b cool, to hear their translations n what they saw, heard, smelled, touched n tasted: what inspired em to write these lyrics/poems, when they did.

soooo if a plant has eyes in every cell which I've never looked up
we just need a tiny beam flashing a few times an hr
focused only on the gals we don't want buddin, yet

When I was a kid he would gift me the original family dog , Fillmore , Bill graham , Kelly mouse studios posters and artwork
Still have a decent collection of the art your talking about , yes album art was a big deal .....

Google the annotated lyrics of the grateful dead , you will see many references and inspirational background for a lot of dead tunes , you'll enjoy it....

Laughlin held an annual Colorado river regatta
u can still find vids
they shut down a stretch of river to motorizeds
and it's just a big party
people with docks n homes on the river, open em up and folks take their clever multiple person rafts, swimmers, kayaks... u name it- to the homes to join whatever parties they have goin on...
well... we used to... the annual regatta price doubled, two yrs in a row... they cancelled it... brought it back... cancelled it, again; permanently.
we took my kid, as a minor. we didn't drink around him so it was just a family day.
it was just as fun, for families, as raging alcoholics and it will b forgotten, like so many things that bring people... communities... together.
trash... liter... was the excuse. based on prices & what the p.r. guy of avi wrote me: i would say it was greed.
we always taught trash pickup for outdoor activities... we boycotted over the doubling of prices...
