No doubt the sf 1000 is only 100W what size space were ya growing in with it?

I'm going to throw it in a less then 2x2 area with a cpl autos to show how she preforms, good bad or ugly the truth will be shown :D
Actually 92w with a kilowatt meter. About the same. Actually a bit smaller than 2x2. Lookin forward you to your showcase brotha. Hope it goes well for you.

Right on! I'm not expecting miracles with a 100Watter they wanted me to try it in a 3x3 tent but no fuckin way rofl.. even in the space i got now its just barely going to meet min requirements for 30W per sq ft..

But like i said in another post it may just be a great light for someone who wants to grow 1 plant on a very tight budget,, thats why these cheap lights exist..

If it sucks well spider farmer should have sent a better light for me to review lol Like i said good bad or ugly I'll review and test the light, I'm not gonna praise it if its not preforming up to par.. If the shit hits the fan imma take a video imma take pictures imma show the bad side of the light ya know..

But yeah i don't expect miracles with this light lol

No one said it sucks. It just isnt the quality and coverage they advertise. And it doesnt have the same parts as a higher quality led grow light.

As far as growing flowers. With good gardening skill we can grow quality flowers under a bunch of cfl twisty bulbs.

And because of cost cutting spider farmer has almost the same too blue spectrum as a cfl daylight bulb. Not the tested modern spectrum of a gavita or hlg flowering lamp.

The devil is always in the details.

I agree with this. It's not that they are garbage because they aren't but I do feel the info is inflated and inaccurate in cases.

Can absolutely grow under it without question. I feel these and kingbrite are both good budget options. That does not mean that they are the same quality and specs as the big boys though.

I have been generally pleased but I'm a rookie, I realize, as has been suggested, that I need about twice what I have to flower home.
Considing 450W of this: https://www.ecofarm.ca/collections/...-lm301h-chip-available?variant=32653143310424
The build seems a bit more solid than the Kingbrite to me.

This is very close to the spider farmer. They dont mention the red diode brand. With 25% off its quite a deal. But you could just add another SF 2000 to flower and have the same light. I would do that to have matched lamps and the warrantee.

All the budget lamps cut the same corners.

Kingbrite and meijju seem to have the best cheaper lights available.

And if i was foing to spend the same as sf i would go to Budgetgrowlights dot com in Michigan. I would get the series 2 “red spec” as they call it for the lower price than the series 3.

Another SF 2000 would be 299, went up 10 bucks since I bought mine, which is over double & is not, at least conveniently, dimable.
The ECO Farm lists Samsung LM301B diodes, I guess this would be comparable to the SF 4000
I would be fine with swapping out the SF for veging other plants, if the ECO Farm would cover flowering my 3'x4' tent, seems it should.

Shipping on the ECO Farm is 104.46, so there goes the discount. 😕

Seems like eco farm is a retailer for the shenzen factory like many of these cheaper builds. They all have samsung diodes but there are other considerations like matching and bin. I have read in the builder threads at riu that these cost cuts are responsible for many of the problems and premature failures reported.

That said the most positive reviews i see are for meiju and kingbrite. But shipping during flu has gone up and i dont trust the warranty from china.

So I have just cleaned up and kept using my nice hps fixtures and got new ballasts last year on sale half price.

And i might just get 2 more cmh 315’s to go with the one i have and run them to replace the hps.

I need the extra radiant heat half the year here. I keep wondering if i will need a heater during lights on in winter with led’s.

I've actually been thinking about running a HPS lamp from 7 pm to 7 am for heat in winter this coming year. How many square feet do you think one could heat?

Havent seen that question in a while. Lol

Basically the guideline is

400w 3’x3’ area

600w 3.5’x 3.5’ to 4’x4’

1000w 5’x5’

Of course the well ventilated and or air conditioned may push the 1000 down to a 4x4. Etc.

The comparable Kingbrite https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...9.html?spm=a2700.icbuShop.89.2.702a6cb5D3vd3Z
Ships for $109 and prices close to the same as the ECO Farm, just to look at them I think the ECO Farm seems more solid, those hanging power connectors on the Kingbrite seem kinda cheap/bug me, different Emitting Color options that I'm kinda clueless about, I guess its a gamble in any case.
I gain about 5-10 degrees over out of tent room temp with the SF 2000, I assume if I double up it will be that much more.
Keeping things cool &, and at this point dry is more costly than heat, my electric bills are double to my gas at peak usage, if not more.

I actually think this ECO Farm model comes closer to the posted Kingbrite & it prices a bit more so...
