If you going to flower then once they are on 12/12 you would want to up the lighting. Going from. 18/6 to 12/12 mean 1/3 less time for light. So we increase light by 1/3 once we switch. If that makes sense
ya i understand the time change well what i had put together years ago is this florescent fixture for vegetative i believe 45k and 700 watt led for flowering

i was going to wait a week or to and make the flip to flowering one of the other plants almost died it recovered but growth stunted a little give it a little time to catch up make the change then
 
Yeah mix the ratio for the stage of growth as directed. The reduce the ppm by adding water until you get 600ppm.

I'm about to start a DWC grow (2x reservoir) and from all of the information I've read online, I've never come across anyone recommending water on top of the hydroton shooting at the plant. Is this a different variation on DWC?

more of a top drip system no external reservoir but with aeriation
