Hey farmers, im a new ontario grower. This is my home made smart pot grow.I low stress trained 2 bag seeds to fill these 62L storage totes. I was able to maintain an even canopy with one plant but my other plant grew alot more while i was away and was a little harder to maintain since it is growing out of the pot.
Hey there welcome to the farm!! I’m impressed with your plants they look great you’re doing fine by the looks of them. We are about 2-3 weeks out to the beginning of flowering so it’s best to get your training done now. Best of luck!!

Hey all, I have a southern Ontario specific question. I have this little lady that started late, but is doing well for her age. It's about 6 weeks old, in a 7 gallon pot, and gets low doses of 4-4-4- nutes. I have her outside all day and under lights (30watt grow led + 20w UV led) from sundown until 4 hours before dawn - approx 20 hours per day of light (I'm broke AF so keep your jokes to yourself about my light setup lol).
I'm wondering how late I can let it go before forcing it to flower, grow buds and finish naturally, or, alternatively if I should try to build a small enclosure to keep it from freezing and let her flower naturally into late Oct/Nov (which would require buying a better light). Opinions?

i am right of lake Erie and most of my plants are stacking already and expect to finish end of September mid October . if you let that girl go natural light right now it will most likely finish mid to late October depending on the strain and your location , but there are lots of warm sunny days in October even in November depending on the year . you could make a small greenhouse make some vent holes , to protect her on the rainy colder days . but you will risk mold and other problems . if you do a mix of indoor outdoor and it gets at least 5 or 6 hours direct sun light a day then whatever your artificial lighting is wont be such a big deal since your on a budget and you could veg that plant till end of the month and finish end of October start of November . you know where you live and how the weather can be so unpredictable at that time of year

Thanks for the response. I didn't even think about mold lol so I'm steering clear of that option. I'll keep her vegging until the end of the month, then leave her outside and let her flip (I assume the natural light @ Sept 1st will induce flowering). Cheers and happy growing!

it will for sure just make sure it always has 12/12 light cycle and as much direct sun light as possible and she will bud . are you using gaia green 444 ?

Yes, 75% gaja green and 25% bloom. In 5 days I will top dress with 75% bloom and 25% green. I also use beneficial teas. Just measured my tallest girl yesterday and 7ft 4 inches. I am expecting 9 feet with stretch. Hoping for a 2-3lber but we will see. Look into teas... they really do grow into monsters. If you want a recipe, let me know. Way cheaper than synthetic nutes and results are amazing.
nice thats what im using same ratios i have also been top dressing with worm castings

When do you think our Ontario plants will bloom? I'm in the northern reaches of our wonderful province!
