When we moved in to our home, I hated these Yucca Plants. They were Pokey and Pointy, and stubborn as hell. No matter how many times we cut them down, they kept growing back. Then I learned about grow shop selling products made with processed Yucca. So we started experimenting with different methods. Cutting off big chunks and pulverizing them and making teas with that fresh moist material. Making some KNF-style FPJ with this jar of Yucca. Like so many other things in my life, those Yucca Plants turned out to be a blessing in disguise

Had to stay out of the sun for a bit, because the antibiotics I was on made me sensitive to the sun. Stayed outside long enough to take some pictures, yesterday. Trying to stay on top of the feedings and the integrated pest management and preventative measures against PM. Have been doing Foliar Sprays every few days. This is my best year, by far, but I feel there is still so much more room for improvement.

It’s been a while since I added any updates to my grow thread... I felt the need to cut down and compost a number of plants, to remain within my legally allowed number of mature plants.
I scrapped one breeding project, and started another.
we survived the forest fires, smoke, and ash, that left so many of our neighbors and fellow Oregonians with nothing.

Glad you’re well gimpy. We feel for you in California. Prayers and good vibes to all affected. You will bounce back stronger.

Hey everyone... been pretty busy with the harvest this last month. I’m not very good at taking pictures but I wanted to show a couple clips of my indoor grow I just fired back up.
Genetics:

Clones:
Tangie x the Gift
Molokai Frost
Tennessee Kush

seedlings:
Cake
Panama Red

Trying to get back in the habit of updating my grow journal more often. Never been very good at it...

while I was away...

Stopped feeding my outdoor plants right at the beginning of flower, and didn’t finish as strong as I would have liked to, but the harvest was not a complete disaster. Most of the plants finished on time. Lost one plant to mold (Ksoher Tangie #2) and a couple others had to be harvested before they were fully done. Wanted to finish strong, but funds were tight and food for the family came before food for

I made a couple of mistakes while transitioning to my indoor winter grow.

-bringing outdoor-cooked soil to the indoor tent led to an aphid infestation, which has since been taken care of. Irredeemable plants were culled and outdoor soil went back outdoors. Started a new indoor worm bin, and a new batch of indoor soil (more on that, later

- I got lazy and let my helpers do all the feedings, IPm, and plant care while I focused on trimming and washing hash. I ended up with some awesome hash, and some plants that were suffering severely.

I tried to cut corners, flowering under cheap lights and using subpar equipment. So basically wasted a few months.

starting over from scratch. But not cutting any corners this time

Switched out and upgraded all of my light fixtures recently, When I cleaned out the grow tents.

seedlings are now under 2 T5-style LED Shop-light fixtures that I picked up from the local BiMart.
2 x 55w LED 5500 Lumens

i have the seedlings started in some Black Gold Seedling mix that I inoculated with LABs

Genetics lineup:

Nubia x ‘78 Affie (Puffin Tuff)
Blue Cheese (Captain Redbeard)
Los Veteranos (Boneyard NorCal)
Durban Cheese (Relic Seeds)
Strawberry Creme x Rare Dankness (Cannabis Family Seeds)
Tangie x The Gift
Oregon Diesel x ‘78 Affie

Aside from the little seedling area, I’m running 2 tents. (48” x 48” x 72”) and (48” x 48” x 80”)

ive finally got duct fans providing proper intake and exhaust in both tents.

Veg Tent is being lit with the cheap fixtures that were previously in my flower tent.

2 x MaxiSun PB1000 LED

4 x Molokai Frost
4 x Tennessee Kush

not in the best of health right now, but they are looking MUCH better than They did 2 weeks ago. And not an aphid in sight

I think the Flower tent still needs a little more work before I’m ready to show pics of it, but the upgraded lights I have in there now are:

1 xLUSH LED Luminator
1 x 1000w HPS (Generic Hood, HydroFarm Ballast)

Looks like they’re all off to a good start so far.

gave them a simple tea yesterday with LABs, EWC, and Fish Emulsion

Hey Everyone,

just checking in with another update on my grow.
Seedlings Are all looking good. Not stretching quite far enough to require support. I culled one of them that was stagnant (strawberry creme x rare dankness), but all of the others seem to be moving along nicely.

6 of the 8 plants in the Veg tent we transplanted up into bigger pots. Probably could have waited for a little more root growth, but I wanted to get them from the coco coir into a more balanced and complete grow medium.

There’s still a lot of room for improvement in the flower tent. The Tennessee Kush in the small pot is the only one that I’m really looking forward to harvesting. The other plants are finishing off in pots that are too small. I should have potted them up when I flipped them, but I didn’t have any good medium at the time and was in a rush to get something under the grow lights since I was culling the other plants in flower. That being said, these plants already look better in week 3 than last round did at week 8

Hey Farmers,

I’m trying to stay somewhat consistent in my updates. Going to be closing out this thread and starting a new one, to reflect all of the changes and new genetics that I’m working with.

The complete KNF system is a bit above my skill set and capabilities. I’m still going to be doing LABs Foliars and soil drenches and trying to supplement the microbial life in my soil. But I will be going back to using bottled organic plant foods (basic NFTG regimen with Photosynthesis plus and BioLive from down to Earth)
