where’d you order from?
Whats allthis fungus gnats and root aphids and nematoads stuff? Is that somethimg to consider with a deep water culture system or just a soil issue?

Gonna assume this is not sarcasm and answer it the best I can.

Root Aphids are bugs that live in the medium and attack the roots.
Fungus gnats are like root aphids, but not quite as bad, they eat fungus and decaying matter in the medium until they run out and then start to attack the roots. Fungus gnats are super common, its the tiny flies you see everywhere in the soil section at home depot for example.

Could get these bugs in rockwool, coco, soil, but probably not dwc. Seems like they would drown.

Nematodes are like microscopic worms, there are good ones that eat bacteria or fungus or bug eggs, and bad ones that attack roots. The ones I bought are the ones that eat bug eggs.

My viparspectras are the old blurple models from 2017. Plants grow under them just fine, I just don't like looking at the garden under that spectrum, and they are not as efficient. Since they have switched to samsung diodes like the spider farmers.
Yea, once I got the first white quantum, I went and replaced everything, I've got some 4ooow, and several 3000 and 2000 units sitting here, all burples. I need to find homes for them. The new lights were expensive, but well worth it.

I went for the gusto this time around, because I won't replace these for years. I finally got some of those UV lights for helping resin production, give them a suntan. The Samsung diodes on the other lamp are awesome. I've also got 2x 350 quantum boards in the 6x6 flowering room, that's where the UV will get hung tomorrow.

Lights are so important. Rays are the very basis of everything transpiration, metabolism and energy production, terpenoids, phenol's, alkaloids. Science is so fkn cool, my mind altering ray gun...

Hell yeah, awesome light. This will be my last run with the blurples for sure.

When I checked the room today the filter for my intake had fallen off. Oh well, I was planning to start IPM soon anyway lol.

The product I sprayed is called sns209, which is a rosemary extract.

No i wasnt being sarcastic at all. Just womdering because ive never heard of this. I had 3 outdoor plants this year that were huge, over 10 ft, and they suddenly just died. Started as 1 limb here, 1 limb there, then one day all 3 were dead completely. Usually in Ga termites can wreak havoc on outdoor plants, i assumed that was the issue but it couldve been these other things. Oh well, nomore outdoor grow for me. Im so impressed with this dwc system. My only draw back to it is i made it too small. Only enough reservoir for 6 gallons at a time and my 2 super silver haze autos use that much in 4 days. They are now 27 in tall by 49 in wide by 29 in deep front to back and use lots of water and nutrients. Next grow will be in a bigger system or atleast have a spare reservoir. They are in their 2nd week since i saw the first white pistils, monday will be week 3. 2 spider farmer sf1000's usimg advanced nutrient ph perfect grow micro bloom with big bud bud booster.

thats crazy, any chance it could have been gophers?
No they were in 10 gallon pots, so it was bug related im sure. I didnt inspect the plants, just cut them down and burned them. They had just started budding back in late july. I had cages around them to protect from deer and rabbits, especially rabbits they love the new tops. Good thing i love fresh rabbit lol. I am going to give some G13 seeds a go outdoors next yr. Im currently looking for my next indoor strain, does anyone have a suggestion. I like the energetic strains, not too big on the couch lock strains

It rained yesterday and the temperature skyrocketed in the room. Anyone know the physics behind that?

Anyways the plants are chugging along. That packet in each pot is the slow release nematodes.

If my memory of high school earth sciences doesn't fail me... I'd imagine it just comes down to density.
How's the humidity in the room?
Guessing it was a hot rain, as well?

I'd think if the humidity was high enough in the room and it was a rain hotter than your room, you'd see it displace the cool air... contrary to normal thermodynamics because water vapor reduces the density of air.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that one thing doesn't necessarily have to do with the other. Correlation does not equal causation. There are so many other factors that come into play.

Depending on where you are, this time of year warm fronts can push temps up more than ten degrees, bringing rain with them...so that definitely "could" be a factor. Needs more data.

I can almost count on a 2° increase in the flower tent if my neighbor decides to make pot roast for dinner though. 🤷‍♂️🍖

Yeah def needs more data.
But it was cool and rainy outside, not warm and rainy. 10 degree increase inside. I know funky stuff happens when you suck air from one source to another and pressure, temperature and humidity are all related, so I thought it could some pv=nrt type shit lol.

Exactly!! So then I would look for another reason for the temp increase 🤔👍🌱

Temperature, pressure and humidity are not all "related". Only how we measure them. 👍
