I can't tell sex on this one yet bc I'm blind and stupid but check out the bubbles around the "joints...."

Also have two widow boys and two girls. The triple leaf is a boy and leader in the clubhouse for the widows to get progeny if he's fertile.

I kind of feel like it's outsmarting myself to not try him tbh. Just intuitively.

Also he handles nutes waaay better than some of his siblings. I swear these things will claw at nothing!

only thing about that is all the best effects come from sensitive plants in my experience.

i have culled clones I was running that were easy to grow and replaced them with picky bitches.

Found a widow male I'm super excited about. Very stinky and I'm pretty sure sativa leaner. Kind of a rubbery smell. Like a shoe sole after sliding on a basketball court.....not quite burning but something like it...

So i will be flowering a haze male and a widow male along with two widow females and one good looking haze female (not 100% confirmed) at minimum.

There is a second haze female who might get culled and might not....i think she is turning a corner so hopefully not.

None of the other males really seem that interesting in terms of stem rub compared to the ones I'm keeping....i might change my mind and keep the whorled male but tbh he just stinks less.

"I kept the two stinkiest males with good structure and vigor" sounds defensible when someone tells me I'm being an imbecile and should have done the other thing.

So far i am thrilled at the prospect of trying these males. The widow females look great. If this haze is confirmed female, that is exciting...but i don't get the same sense of "damn, that's a PLANT" tbh.

Unless things take a bad turn, feeling good about the seed packs.....solid operations both imo.

It's a girl! And also the heaviest haze leaner or most fussy plant.

However, her new growth looks better.

I'm just going cal mag plus refreshes of japanese maple and kelp meal. The hazes look great since I made that move with the up pot to more ocean forest. I have realized the japanese maple is 4-3-4 BUT the nitrogen is slow release bc alfalfa meal. So the hazes can get a sense of what is coming and modulate rhizosphere as they do and idk man pot plants love this stuff. Like i think i might just go solids only plus cal mag and occasional trinity rhizosphere bursts going forward for all my plants.

Dumdeedum.

Also I am going to flower 2 males of each bc space wise who cares and yeah. Found another candidate to try for each.....why make my decision early ya know? Should be educational. If my females end up seedless it will be a bloody miracle but whatever honestly it's personal use. Fwiw they will be in separate tents in separate rooms. And i will try.

I will likely fail. But i will try.

Cool tidbit from my old botany book I picked up for like eight dollars.

Another. This related to my thinking on coco coir vs ocean forest. It makes me think that the more waterings the better for oxygen levels so long as saturation is above hypoxia....and with coco you water a lot and it stays above saturation.

There are other things going on of course but for some reason this is interesting to me right now.

I'm also posting these because my pot plants baked me into edibles so milson might wanna look at this later.

I think your absolutely right 👍

Check out those increases in respiration up to optimal temp btw!! Gotta get up to 80 in my tent thought I was fine at 75.....
Been saying this for a long time... 80-84f is a good place. You want leaf temos of about 75-77f not room temps. It makes a big difference in growth rates and you will see water consumption go way up also root temps 75-80f works well. These are all lights on temps just to be clear.

I know, I was partially giving you a chance to gloat :-p

But the magnitude of the difference is pretty shocking to me....this is suggesting I am, other things equal, leaving...gosh idk, a 30% respiration rate increase on the table minimum?

I really don't wanna run a heater though...maybe i can be creative with where i vent my warm air to help a bit....

An irony: you mostly want to refresh oxygen in situations with lots of other life sucking up the oxygen but those environments are also where one waters fewer times per whatever period.....except maybe coco with a focus on it? Am I missing something and these blends (coco loco etc) already have this covered?

Merits more thought and tinkering....And research.

You might as well be the resident thinkerer and tinkerer 🤣
I might have to make the push to get my tent up a couple more degrees

I love popping by your thread I often learn something.
