FINALLY!! Someone that agrees. It's possible. I wanna see this man do it though, without upsetting things.

On that note, if you choose to engage with this, please, PLEASE don't upset other things. This is meant to be fun, educational, and mildly competitive.

By no means is this meant to be a "drop all the shit, i got a big peepee" thing.

More so, this is a matter of finding limitations, and pushing boundaries, with a bit of fun thrown in. I do not see this being a finished in six months thread. As was said earlier, this is the solo cup challenge, 10x. The discoveries here could influence many things, if we approach it as such, not with the attitude the title insinuates.

On that note, a new title would be appreciated. Maybe cut off the "Trollish" part. Thoughts? Ideas? This was spawned in a moment of passion, so the choice of words were.... not the best.
Fixed.

It's well spent cashola man. Going full recirculating hydro taught me that, for sure. never again will hand water a damn thing, aside from the nice house plants and cacti that are around. I think this comp will lead to discoveries in optimizing automation to the hilt. ground breaking shit, ya know
Hmmmmm this is tempting itll be fun to watch got a plant in a 1 gallon atm was about to upgrade the size may do it just to try and see where it gets me
do it. one gal of coco is a force to be reckoned with. i don't see full hydro being beneficial here, just because without serious root trimmings, the allotted volume will lead to pathogens. however, a media that thrives on root binding... i think it's doable with absolute perfection of all the other environmental variables.

I’m in a solo cup contest. I’ve vegged for 9 weeks now. This thing is insane. It eats 1600ppm like nothing. I feed it 200ml till it gets about a shot glass of run off. Then it sits in that run off and in 4-6 hours it’s bone dry and needing water again.

with enough time and training I think a lb in one gallon is doable. Might take a year of vegging though

Ok I'm officially in 👍

Strain is Hot Mess by Ethos. She just got transplanted from a solo cup and tied down.

By the the time she out grows the 2x2 the 3x3 will be ready for her ❤🌱

Easily with 4 plants... just missed by 100 grams last run but I was not even trying for max yield
So should I be expecting just under a hp in my 2x2 tent? I haven't gotten anywhere near that yet. Maybe with my new light but even still I doubt I'll make it over the 5.5oz mark.

In my opinion plant count will always limit your yield it's pretty much the essence of this challenge in a way haha.

Just the fact that you can fit more than one plant comfortably in a 3 by 3 gives you way better chance to pull more weight.

For this one I'm only doing one plant but I'm planning on doing either two or four next time. I do heavily train and scrog them so it's pretty close to what it would be for multiple plants. I'm using a 7 gallon pot as well. I read that the world record for 2x2 was like 10.5oz or something crazy like that but it was in a 2x2x6.5 which is significantly more grow space than my 2x2x4. I only get about 2, maybe 2.5 ft of height because of my light and the soil.
