I probably have about 4 or 500 invested into the shit I have setup now, can I het a good 1000watt led full spectrum for 500?

My whole setup costs 60 cents per day. That includes lights and fans for 2*4 and veg cabinet.
.60 cents per day...must be nice...How much per KWH do they charge you? it's costing me $3.00+ plus 15 % tax per day at .16 cents per KWH plus 15% tax & that's just lights and fans, when I have to add heat or dehue up goes the cost. I'm only growing a few plants at a time in my home. I'm not in a commercial setup but its still cheaper than buying my meds.

No. Why do you want 1000w. You can grow a pound with 300w.

here those lights are walmart, so easy peasy to return if you think that is the thing. but as for false ads, no, they are suppose to list LEDs like that, it is the "industry standard". so not false ads, just high-jinx in the promotion of LEDs in general, it is a "lights like" number, not a usage number.

just my opinion, but the 1000w might be a bit overkill for your setup. if you want to improve, with little cost, your setup, get some of that panda paper and try to sort of "enclose" your space. that way the light you have gets reflected. i cant judge how big your plant is side to side, but im just guessing that 1000 watts would cost a bit and be overkill for one 2'x2' plant, no matter the yield.

you can get lots of different options for $500. i dont know a lot of science about the light/plant relationship, but many different type lights out there, some have to have extra cost involved in heat dissipation, some have spectrum issues, some have size and shape benefits or failures due to your setup... i bought a viparspectra xs2000 for a bit under $200 with coupons, but soon found out that has 240 "real" watts, and my space is ... complicated, so now i am going back and revisiting my whole setup. i have ordered a 4x4 tent and 300w more lights (im getting 2 xs1500 @ 150 "real" watts each for the same ~$200 i paid for the 240w xs2000). so i will end up with 3 lights 240w, 150w and 150w for a total of 540w and less than $400. i will be able to light the tent and hopefully use them in a variety of ways both with and without the tent.

Thanks IV stealth, Ill have to go back to the add, cause they made it seem like power draw, it said equivalent no where on the description line, and the way the made it look was power draw in my opinion. Cause the 8 watt true 65 watt equivalent br30 walmart ones are about 8 to 10 dollars for 8 true watts each, but they arent flat, so I thought the 8 was still 65 equivalent and the 80 was 80 true for that price, they definitely left equivalent out of it and seems like they should have to say that. Thats why I couldn't understand the spectrum or why my 640 true watts were bad but its becuase yall knew those blurples couldnt be 80 each. Some of yall told me so sorry it took so long. Ive been buying them 4 at a time over the past few months, so I worried that would make it hard to return, but either way this is getting swapped out asap. Im just glad now I can research real lights without thinking I can beat the system and be cheap

No. Why do you want 1000w. You can grow a pound with 300w.
So 6 would cover me for 2 lbs if the plant was capable. So I could actually run 18 of my blurple bulbs, at 270 and a few cfls for spectrum and another 30 watts and bet a lb, but be limited to a lb at best? Just as a reference? That would be stupid more expensive tho! Thats how they get the new growers cause the want a few watts at a time but it ends up being way more then a good one at the end. They got me on the equivalent tho, I coulda swore the description said 80W per power draw🤦🏻‍♂️

on LEDs it is ALWAYS listed the "lights like" value, not the "true" usage. it is how they are suppose to do it. it is not trying to cheat you, it is like that on all led ads. you have to dig some, even on the best of them, to find the real wattage. but just consider, when they started the listings that way it was to show how much energy you save going with LEDs, so it is like "you get the same amount of light at less money." that was the marketing strategy and they lobbied to get it listed that way. so, its all legal and above board, just be ware that LEDs are always listed that way, 1000 is really 100 and 80 is 8.

They shouldnt do that for “grow lights” cause why do I care the equivalent to indalecent? And I thought they specified equivalent cause this is what I started wit. But the description on the walmart add said 80 watts power in the details, thats false advertising if you just showed me the specs. And those were the specs for the ones that say “80” right. I just got confused your right, sucks but I bet alot of new growers make that mistake

This is false advertising, or cause it doesnt say draw next to power? The br30s said the equivalent right next to the true watts

Mars hydro get a lot of hate but my buddy just had to have them. He grows some fire with them. They are decent lights.

Whats most popular?
I like the 2x2’ surface of the Mars 3000 and the 450, I should have the potential of 2lbs per 3’x3’ screen if everything else is perfect

I am not too familiar with what is popular but my buddy bought 2 of the tsl2000s and is happy in a 5x5 however he wants a 3rd one to improve the yields.
I am eager to see the end results of this grow. Yeah there's a lot people probably want you to fail but we are all growing to our interests. Threads like this is what makes this place interesting.
I personally love to mainline my plants to 16 cola. Currently I have an original Glue clone topped to 32 colas MWHAHAHAHA. It would fill a 4x4 with no room for a pedestal fan lol. Technically it is not a true mainline but it is close. I'll post it in the mainline thread if anyone wants to see it and I will keep it updated till harvest. Not trying to jack your thread. I'll be tagging along

Thanks!!! Yeah I like the shape of the 3000 itll be perfect to hover right over my 3’x3’ flower screen! Thanks for the info and support!!!✊🏼
