@DreamwalkerJ on the pic you gave me for my light height. Question. I can't get my leaf temps up. If i put it at the 12" height it has good coverage too. Except for the outer edge it goes way down. My question is...if i put my light down to that height will it raise my leaf temps? Or do i risk light burn too?

Give it a try. Thats how know where out lights should be for new strains. As soon as you start to see some discoloration in the top leaves, usually near the tips and if the leaf tips start curling upwards you know you need to back off a couple inches.

Plants yesterday. I trained them some today though. Not in pics. Bent branches with my fingers since i don't have anything to tie too. Next grow i think i will drill some holes around the outside of my grow tray . Aftet i put my plastic down i will put wire acrossed it in a grid pattern for something to tie to.

They look beautiful but i noticed som very slight tip burn. Nitrogen, i think. This is exactly how you know what they should be fed. I Think you should back off the nutes by about 10% (if you have a 50 gallon res, remove 5 gallons of nutrient soultuon from the res and add 5 gallons of plain water back. the tip burn is very slight but its there. Its totally not a big deal. Every time i grow a new strain ifeed just until i see tip burn and then back off the nutes by 10% and they are happy happy happy. They look really good though. Lots of new growth.

I think those are old leaves from before i changed the res. But good eye.

Thinking of going about 2 more weeks and flipping the light to 12/12

Next time i will train earlier since the bungee cord thing worked.

I think 2 more weeks sounds about right. Personally i veg them out until they touch tips (theres some innuendo 🤣) and then as soon as they are big enough that they are touching each other, thats when i flip (i keep them equal distance apart). I know its a controversial topic for some but personally, i would be doing some defoliating right about now too. If its not your thing, cool. But if it is or if you want to learn then im happy to assist. Im sure @Aqua Man would be happy to help too. Since im here, you guys have a good long weekend? Those plants are looking nice and healthy Dazed, keep it going.

Fantastic. That looks awesome man. Thats a great example of making it work. We do what we gotta do for our girls.
Thanks! Hell yeah! We sure do! I am going to love the feeling of accomplishing a harvest every time. I know why people get hooked on this now. Im going to give them a week and flip the light. So i really don't want to have to change my res if i don't have to. I start bloom schedule nutes a week before i switch the light? Correct? So i should mix my new nutrients for bloom and then add that to my res? Correct? Until i get to my correct PPM and EC?

I actually defoliated a little bit 2 days in a row. About a quarter of a walmart bag the first night and then just the extra little stuff last night when i lst'ed them. A couple of the branches cracked. Not snapped in half. But kind of bent and ctacked under the pressure of tying them down. I can see light thru to the plastic at the middles of the plant right now.
Oh! And i did some clones too. 4 from bruce banner and 4 from the other 5 plants of planet of the grapes. First time doing clones. Hopefully they take

Actually i keep them on veg nutes until week 2 of bloom. Starting in week 2, every time i top up my res, i top it up with bloom nutes instead UNTIL ive added roughly 50 gallons of bloom top-ups. By this point the res should be mostly if not entirely bloom nutes by now and its at this point that i change the res for my mid-bloom mix. Doing it this way gradually changes the nutes from veg to bloom and it also gives the plants more nitrogen in the first few weeks of bloom and then drops off. In my experience, doing it this way grows much happier, bushier plants. (someone also did a study on this and found the same thing but im too high to remember who it was so, if youre interested, google it 🤣)as for ppm, i aim for 750ppm, 5.8pH switching into bloom.

So we feed all the nutes in the beginning of the plants life and if we don't want to change the res we transition from all the nutes in seedling to gro and then to bloom? But always using micro and cal-mag?

Leave those cracked branches alone for 24 hours and if they are still healthy with rigid petioles (leaf stems) then leave them be, or brace them if you like. But if after 24 hours (or any time before then) the leaves are droopy, and the branch has an overall unhealthy look about it, snip that branch off just below the break. Do it as soon as you notice because from then on the plant will be wasting precious energy trying to heal something it cant. . Who knows, you might end up with super-cropped branches with monster knuckles on them where they were broken🤣🤞🏻

@DreamwalkerJ read this. Is this right? I know your high. But you can do it. Lol
