Hey Bro it could be. I bought these up in Clear Lake and the dispensary said it was first gen pk from oaksterdam, but you know how that goes, they will say what they need to sell them. Having said that, I am very happy with the strain.

Here are some no-flash shots from last night. 6 more days unitl the get chopped. ;)

I think it definitely looks more like a purple kush than gdp, but either way great job man lookin dank as fuck

Purple as it gets- no matter what. Beautiful flowers and excellent pics! With those trichomes, who really would say no to these nugs in any color? Nice grow.

great job bro, lookin stellar.

Thanks fellas. Yeah, I think it is pk too. But whatever it is, I can't wait to get it in a bowl.

you should test this out, dry one plant whole, without fan leaf'n or any trimming just hang it whole. when I ran purple, I did this and the plant turned almost black purple, every single bud right down to the popcorns. I would love to see someone test this theory again

It turned after while it dried? interesting, I may try this with a cola and see that happens. Isn't it a pain to trim dry though?

it is a pain to trim dry and you lose lots of trichs that way...

That's what I kind of thought. Still it might an interesting experiment for one cola. I wouldn't try a whole plant unless it really was dramatic or something.

we always trim very near dry, I think the only reason to trim wet is to rush the drying, which doesn't add to the cure at all, it takes away from it....and I say you lose just as many trichs trimming wet, maybe more even...and yes, diz is correct, hanging purples untrimmed turns them more purple sometimes as they dry over the next few days. trimmed wet the buds do not properly slowly dry and begin to cure. hanging the plant near whole to dry is the first step in proper handling and curing of the sacred medicine...the large fan/water leaved and even the medium and small ones all serve a purpose in a proper drying/early curing environment, fans slightly blowing with the room controlled at around 50% humidity and 70ish degree temps.

Just my 2 cents---your ladies are beautiful, BTW, RF!

Thanks for sharing Sugar Leaf. I appreciate the different perspectives as this is my first grow. My parents used to grow outdoor in 70's when I was a kid and always remember the meat locker that they hung the whole plants in and then the Jammin and trimmin weekends that followed. I wish they were still around to ask advice on this. RIP
So, I have read all the different growers techniques and it seems most trim before hanging. I personally don't know which is the best way. Both arguements have merit. I don't know man. My buddies that grow are split on this too. I have decided to use my downstairs bathroom ( the one on the last page with the babies) so I have room to hang full plants it need be. It would be great to hear some more perspectives on this drying process, so please chime in:)

trim half up and leave the leave on half - youll see that it doesnt take much longer to dry - but takes twice as long to trim and you will want put something under you to catch all the dry thc exploding off your buds...

Those ladies look beautiful my friend. Can't wait to see them after the chop. Kerp up whatever you're doing. Looks fantastic!

Day 58

3 more days to harvest:)
