My clones are turning yellow

My clones are tuning yellow. I dont see any roots yet. It's been about a week and a half. I read that it means the nutrients are being used up. I mixed some dilute liquid karma and a little folier optic in a spray bottle and started using that. Any advice?

To many leaves get rid of all the lower ones just leave the top few. Maybe not enough humidity or too much light. They look a little droopier than I would like. What’s you light and humidity? Do you have a dome? Clones need very little light.

Thank you. I will get rid of some leaves. I have a dome. It's been closed most of the time. I just started opening the vents. The lights are on 24/7 should I give them a break? It's on or off. I don't have a dimmer. I did have a heat mat with a towel on top for a little warmth, but i turned that off this morning also.

Can you raise the light a little? If it’s a heat mat for plants specifically put it under the dome to warm the bottom up if it’s for people I think they get too hot. I’ve always done 18/6 it’s my understanding roots grow at night but people still run 24h and get roots so I can’t say for sure but they def could use a break. If you can raise the light try moving it off to the side a little. Do you know what kind of light it is? How many watts?

Its a mat for plants. Honestly I'm not sure about the light. I'll attach a picture to show the current distance, but it can be raised or lowered.

However, I have noticed a tiny root sprouting since I last checked this morning. So there might be hope.

They are just yellowing spending energy trying to keep the leaves alive and grow roots. You can open your vents now and start dropping humidity and it will help force it to grow roots. As long as the stem itself doesn’t start going limp they are fine sometimes it can take up to 3 weeks to get roots. I dunno what your nutrient plans are but you could probably give it 1/4 strength dose of something to perk them up or maybe a light foliar feed. All in all they should be fine just getting rid of lower leaves.

Too many leaves. I have 95% success 10-12 days doing very small clones. No food just tap water. No misting.

Can I ask why do you use fertilizer when cloning and looks like you got a few other things going on there maybe rethink how your doing clones your close but.......Not close enough

Healthy stock from Mother's first and foremost,trim fan leaves on the plant then cut the branch on an angle helps more plant surface area I use a acid dip and rapid rooters and a humidity dome with a tray which holds each rooters out of the water and I keep water in the bottom of the dome at all times under a Nextlight core led about 2 ft up I usually can get GOOD roots in a week or so Everytime and just slightly damp not wet or not dry mist about 1 once every other to everyday I also put a little mycrozye fungi in the rapid rooter but that's it nothing but water I don't even pH the water just a carbon sediment Small boy filter on my tap water. I get 10 for 10 success rate that way I've tried the heat mat and cloners did ok but this way is more consistent and no loss of cuts

Mater of fact I have a 64 site EZ Cloner for sale damn near brand new and a 32 site as well but I used that for years it's pretty best up but it get cuts started

Looks like your dong a fine job. I've not done a terrible amount of clones over the years. I think one of the biggest pitfalls for me, is how much light we give them. It doesn't take a bunch, they just need mild light, good temps and humidity, it seems, more than anything. Plus a good clean start. I've done them in the jiffy just like above, or grow plugs.

Seems like when I start making it more complicated, the more difficult it becomes.
Dialing in the environment for the plants is really key on this front.

I quit using jiffy pots. I just put em in a solo cup of promix or cocoloco and put a baggie over it nowadays. Works just as good as the fancy stuff.

Just starting out. First time cloning and trying to keep every low tech. Today was the first and only time ive misted with some of the liquid Karma and that was based on some recommendations I got elsewhere. What I'm noticing is that a lot of times if you ask 10 people the same question you will get 10 different responses and ultimately it comes down to some trail and error and obviously a lot of experience.
I cut at a 45 degree angle with new, clean and sharp shears. Put in cold water and then dipped in rooting gel and put in my pellet. Oh and trimmed the leaves. For the most part I have just been watering with bottled water alone. I misted with pellets probably around day 4 because the humidity was too much and I was noticing mold starting to from on some. That fixed the problem. As for the yellow leaves I was told it was because all the nutrients are being used for the roots and a very dilute mixture of liquid karma could help. Anyway, i have since removed the bottom yellow leaves to reduce the overall amount of leaves and conversely the amount of energy needed for the top. I have also since noticed a few roots. So I am less concerned than I was this morning. Overall this cloning experience was more of an experiment so see what would be needed for when I'm more serious next season. Thanks for your reply. They've been sitting around outside (uncovered) for a couple of weeks now, and yesterday, it was down, and I thought it was dead. I kept it underneath other plants... I gave it a tiny bit of water, and put it in the shade.... It still lives, so far.
