I added the Grow Genius mono-silicic acid at the end of the other ingredients and it immediately bubbled up and now looks like I added Dawn soap lol

is this normal and is this ok?

i added:

Jacks Base
Epsom Salt
Jacks B
Kelpmax
Great white
Fulvic
Amino acids
Cutting Edge Solutions SourDee
Grow Genius

In that order.

I'm not sure about the bubbling but doesn't silica usually go in first before anything?

Hello everyone. Can anybody tell me approximately what Ec this comes out to on a 500 scale pen? And do you adjust the Ec to stage of growth? Currently running Dynagro line in coco, but thinking of giving this a go. Just not sure how everyone is adjusting they’re Ec. 🤔
exactly...thought about giving it a go as well...about 1/2 the info needed so I'll just skip it all and do the MC like I do

Are you running mega crop in coco by any chance? Got they’re V.2, but never ran it after having issues with the V.1.

1) Silica- I always recommend soluble silica like PowerSi or Grow Genius. If you are in a pinch, you can use potassium silicate, but you have to keep an eye on the pH.

Is there a good read on Silica anywhere? Id like to add it to my program but its been difficult to get any good info. What's the difference between Power Si and Power Si Bloom? is Power Si any better than SUNLEAVES SILICA? Sunleaves is quite a bit less expensive. Also, what's the difference between silica and silicon? Is Bulletproof Si just cashing in of the "Si" marketing that Power Si has done? or is it a legitimate alternative to Power Si?

How about starting by reading this thread. There is a ton of posts about Silica in this post. If you just take a look at the label on the products you will find out the differences between the various products.

I've read the entire thread, been following it since day 1. Unfortunately I'm still lost when it comes to silica. But thanks for the condescending unhelpful reply.

I had to use protekt 7.8% silicone dioxide. After plugging in some numbers into angelfire, 2.5 ml in Ro should have given me close to 46 1/2 elemental ppm of Si, but came out to only 33 total ppm. It took 5ml to get closer to 46 1/2 ppm. Coming in closer to 51% Si, and 66 total ppm. Anyone tell me why this is?

It's potassium silicate. 2 potassium for every 1 silica.

I think the best way to figure out the EC is to just run the standard formula of 3-2-1 into a single gallon and there you go right? Sounds like you just keep the formula the same from start to finish from reading this thread. Maybe add a bloom booster at week 5-6? I'm looking at trying a multi feed coco run on my next run, always been a RDWC guy so I'm looking for a new recipe, this one looks pretty good.

Thanks BillFarthing!

@BILL, I will leave the Jack behind me and started using Masterblend instead as you said on the others thread.
Been using the Jack's feeding chat with masterblend.formular and add some protekt. very happy with in.
Is there a benefit from using Jack's vs Masterblend? I have ordered the Power SI and the Mr. Humic, was about to order the Jacks right now. I will wait to hear back before going that route
