I don't think you should add baking soil to your soil, isn't it full of sodium?

It’s a cost effective organic solution to raise soil’s PH

it’s well documented online
I’ll try get lime today regardless
But regardless how I’m managing my soil PH

does anyone know what’s with the plant

I would follow the directions on the package because each product could be slightly different.

Don’t know, Frego. I use Number 80 dolomitic lime when I mix my soil up at the beginning of the year. Along with several other seat of the pants amendments and a lot of perlite. I like to call itMy proprietary blend of stupidity and ignorance! If your lime is fast acting then you have to be careful. I guess do some research and read the directions. Like with all top dressing the finer it is probably the sooner it will water in and start working. So depending on what type you have you may want to consider grinding it up first. Lime is not a quick fix but is a more stable fix. Disclaimer: The purveyor of this information is usually full of shit! So take it with a pound of sodium!

Right ok did a slurry test solution came up to 1/4

was 5.9 PH then added 4 pellets... mixed came to 6.5
So I’m trying to figure it out

im trying to water it in with my non drainable soil it’s a nightmare equation

@Oldchucky @LexLuthor

Why do I even post....

Listen and to add to my diginity you add 1 table spoon of baking soda to 10 gallons of water so it won’t be high in sodium
Maybe @Aqua Man can back me up here ?

can baking soda raise PH aquaman? (Million dollar question)

5.9 doesn’t sound like an end of the World pH problem to me.
But I don’t want it to cause my problems and it could be the problem of my current problem or over watering or they are hungry but my soil is loaded so I’m trying to single out stuff

Yes it can but you only want to use it in a real pinch... imo you want to avoid any sodium sources.

Potassium bicarbonate or silicate are what I would use for PH up or buffering a nutrient solution.

In soil I would use amendments

Morning. Possibly bugs. Inspect The leaves top and mostly bottom. Hard to see in detail with the naked eye. Need a loupe. Tiny white or rust colored dots Or any that move. Or in my case a lot of black, glossy deposits which I think is there a crap.

Thanks for the reply I’ll order one ASAP and get back to you
