@BillFarthing What's your take on the CalNit product below. I wanted to give Haifa's Cal Prime a try but no stock anywhere. I found this product below that's available. I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff but product below looks very comparable to Cal Prime.

More calcium is better! It's the metabolism engine of the plant. It also helps resist pest and disease pressure. Just make sure you plug the new numbers into Hydrobuddy when working with the new numbers.

That product looks good. Cal Prime is supposed to be back in stock at Custom Hydro Nutrients today, actually.

Maybe I missed it but what are some good brands for kelp? I got some Kelp it Real on the way. But it’s kind of a unknown as to production and sourcing. Also it’s powdered.

Thanks man! I was gonna buy the technaflora but seen the growganica brand and ordered. Not sure how one would know if any good. I did just get my Mr Fulvic delivered. Very happy I sen your posts. Way better than Fulpower for price and all the goodies within.

Thanks Billfarthing for this thread, I have switched over to jacks 321 from a bunch of "organics" I was using in soil. I now have monsters and I am scared to sleep at night.

Loved the info here- Is Mr. Fulvic supposed to provide some sort of beneficial Mycorrhizae? I was going to Go with Jacks, Cal Nit, Epsom Salts, Silica, and Mr. Fulvic, Top drip drain to waste coco coir crop steering. Was wondering if I needed any bennies added to this mix?

Mr. Fulvic is sterile. That said, it has carbon content that creates an excellent rhizosphere with beneficial microbes that you introduce to the growing medium. Coco is a natural source of trichoderma.

I would add beneficials to the coco, not to the reservoir. This will prevent any clogged lines from microbes that like to munch on organic matter and micronutrients.

I’ve been using this recipe for my past 2 grows. I’m early into flower (3 weeks) this time around but I’m seeing a lot of brown spotting on my leaves. Here’s a sample

(thoroughly mixed in this order)

in Flower (per gallon of water):
PowerSi Bloom - 2 ml
Mr. Fulvic - 1 ml
Jacks Part a - 1/2 tsp
Epsom Salt - 1/4 tsp
Jacks Part b - 1/2 tsp

in Veg:
same but PowerSi Original - 1 ml

again - I’m seeing these in both Veg and Flower. Anyone else seeing these spots with the recipe?

Jacks is by weight, not volume. I can tell your ratios are off by the amount you are using.

Also, do you check your input and runoff pH?

See if you can rub off some the spots It may be Leaf Spot. You may also want to invest in a small scale to measure out the correct mass of ingredients. I Mix up a double strength batch in a 4 liter bottle, is good for 2X20 liter batches or 40 liter of nutrient. 36g of Part A 5.5 epsom normally it would be 11g but I keep it lower as I am growing in soil, and 24g of Cal-Nite.

1/2 tsp hydro = 3.5 g (calls for 3.6 g per gallon)
1/2 tsp calnit = 3 g (calls for 2.4 g per gallon)
1/4 tsp Epsom = 1.5 g (calls for 1.2 g per gallon)

so, I’m only 0.1g off on the hydro (part a). I’m 0.6 g high on calnit and 0.3 g high on mag.
If I’m high on both cal and mag, would this be a deficiency? I did notice one thing on the instructions. The order is: Silica > Calnit > hydro > mag where I’m mixing the calnit last. Could that make that big of a difference?

You have basically been giving your plants too much Calcium and Nitrogen which causes uptake problems with the Macro Nutrients. NPK. I would low the temperature and light level until you see the new grow coming out nice and green and then start to feed them based on the instructions..

I’m 3 weeks into flower. I’ll flush and back way down for a week or just feed ph’d water

Are you using Jack’s (without part b)?
