So I’m currently in week 4 of the flower phase and everything has been looking great. All 6 plants produced buds, therefore, they all were female. Today I noticed a white powdery substance on a few leaves. My first thought was powdery mildew so I started removing all “infected” leaves and two decent sized buds that had the power on them to play it safe. After trimming up a bunch of leaves I noticed these little ball structures on the bottom 1/3 of the plant that had the white powdery substance on it and now I’m thinking they could be pollen sacs. Can anyone tell from the pictures?

Is it possible for a plant to switch to a hermie 4 weeks into flower? This is my first grow so everything is new & im not 100% confident in diagnosing correctly. Any thoughts are much appreciated!

ps - I didn’t get a chance to grab any pics of the powdery substance but I’ll be back in my grow tomorrow. If I see more I’ll take pics and update.

Wow, either stressed or an actual herm. I've not seen many TBH. Did this happen though out the crop? or is it simply a single plant. Also, the strain type please.

If it's one plant, can you post some more pic's, (close up, and at a distance) I'm interested in the physiology at play here. You say it's 4 weeks, but those are highly developed and have been sitting there awhile. Looks like you've got babies coming, no doubts about that one.

What I'm interested in, are the pollen sac's dispersed throughout (top to bottom) or is it simply isolated to a single branch or stalk...

Or u can take the ardues task of chasing sacs removing as u go and still there’s a risk u miss them but if u succeed in not letting any mature and release pollen your plant will not seed up I’m sure it’s a pretty painful task done it a few times good luck
Looking at the huge success in his tent aleady i think he is taking an unnecessary risk trying to remove the sacs. He must be relatively new if he needed help identifying these were indeed pollen sacs. Would hate to see all his hard work ruined. My two cents. Otherwise your grow is doing great!!

It looks like the pollen sacs are only on that one plant, but they’re dispersed throughout the top and bottom. I added more pics and took the hermie out of my grow tent and separated it into a different area. I’m still hoping to harvest the bud from it since it’s turning out nice & it’s for personal use 😎. The strain is glittles but I got them from a buddy who had some “feminized” seeds laying around. I checked the other plants and they all appear to be fine and not producing seeds, but only time will tell. Is there anything else you recommend doing?
Btw These plants were switched over to the flower phase on July 5 so it’s only been a little over 4 weeks.

Thank you! Yes this is my first grow so I’m very new to this. Hoping to save the rest of my plants so I separated the hermie from the others. I added pics on another reply if you want to see how the plant was looking!

You are late, I think your going to have seeds, lots and lots of seeds. I’ve never been impressed with Herm’d seeds. When I start seeds, I watch them very closely.
Yeah I’ve watched these plants extremely closely. Why do you say I’m late? I get it that there are pollen sacs on several areas of one of my plants but I’m not seeing any on the other 5 plants. I also didn’t expect 6/6 of my seeds to sprout and be female but it happened

Sadly the pollen sacks have started to open up :/ If you look at leaves that fall directly below the pollen sacks I'm sure you'll see yellow dust.
Yeah definitely saw that the other day. Didn’t see the pollen sacs and thought it was powdery mildew bc the dust looked more white than yellow. How long until you can tell if the other plants were pollinated?

That one plant probably pollinated your whole room.
Damn…that really sucks. I wish I would’ve identified it earlier. How long do you think until I can tell if the other plants were pollinated? Will they start growing pollen sacs or just produce seeds?

You should see some seeds in a few weeks. When I say some, I mean most likely, lots of seeds.

All these post are right! Sorry but what I didn’t see is

let’s pretend you caught these in time meaning before the pollen spread or even right after they break open spray with water to try and sterilize as much pollen as possible. Prolly way to late this round but my help someday

the seeds will probably take 5 -6 weeks to finish. the buds might be done before the seeds. the only thing worse than seedy buds is buds with immature seeds.
I planned on cutting them down by week 6 which is 2 weeks away. Should I wait longer? Also, why is immature seeds in the bud worse? I have no experience with this.
