Oof, mine is not near as nice as yours... but it used to be. Virginia is a beautiful state but I do miss Colorado sometimes. Or maybe I just need to move to the part of VA with hill and mountains. 👍

Anyway, here's Wilson's peak from my old back porch. The current back porch is not worth showing unless you dig the suburbs. My dad cut down a tree he wasn't supposed to in order to get us that view 🤣

I made one out if an old wall mounted water cooler a long time ago, evaporator coil and condenser coil mounted so the fan pulls warm air from the condenser over the cold evaporator producing condensation that drips off and away

Yes, well we can't all be mechanical prodigies 😜

Real story, and a recent one too! I purchased that dehumidifier a month or two ago and the gravity drain didn't seem to work properly. I looked inside and discovered what I thought was the problem. I was pissed that I had to go ahead and fix their mistake, but I was proud of myself for being crafty enough to fix it. Good for me, right?! I even wrote those bastards a nasty review.

Skipping to the punch line - I'm an idiot. The unit was fine, it was just missing a gasket that should have been included that I needed to install to make the gravity drain work properly. And who knows, maybe I accidently tossed it with packaging. I ended up having to fix my "fix" to make it drain properly again and you can bet I ran back with my tail between my legs to correct that review. As fortune would have it, it was only up for 15 minutes.

Its all about figuring out where your are within the Dunning-Kruger effect... lol

My dad had a refrigeration business and was into racin so I grew up around mechanical type stuff but nobody showed me much of anything I had to figure stuff out on my own. Oddly the majority of my mechanical experience came from the outdoor power equipment field, tractors and commercial mowers and such. Guess I’m lucky but often astounded by the number of people that are stumped by the simplest of things. Humanity is pretty much doomed the problem solving part of our sucess is gone, replaced by a bunch of whiney assed do nothins that expect instant results for zero thought or effort

@Lilolme

What dehumidifier did you purchase for your room? You wouldn't happen to have a link would you?

Just beautiful man.
2 weeks 3 days will be 10 weeks. They should be startin to really pack it on now. The leaves are startin to ever so slightly fade, the end is near, they know it too. Like any plant their sole purpose is to produce the next generation. Their last gasp will be to pour everything they have left into the flowers. This is the point at which I have to do the hardest thing for people to do it seems, nothing. Wait. Watch. I will continue flower nutes at a reduced strength probly 2 more times with copious waterings in between when they need it. When they are determined to be ready I am gonna let em dry out for the last time. The constant heavy waterin they have recieved from the start has created a film of crusty stuff on the outside of the pots which I am guessin is the stuff that is recommended to be removed from the root zone on a regular basis, salts and waste product. I don’t think its mold it stays very dry in the tub and the airflow and exchange should be more than sufficient to prevent this. The last 2 weeks are said to be the most productive in the process, the last gasp

Any box store or walmart will have one, my sources are limited unless I order or drive a long way I got mine at tru value hardware and paid more than I would have elsewhere but I needed it asap. Its 35 pints

Had to make an executive decision, rainy shit weather seems to have settled in here for the foreseeable future. Bein a no plant left behind kinda guy I brung the clones in out of the rain. I check them every day for bugs and such all I have seen was a little crab spider I left him or her alone they are garden friendly

Oof, aren't we supposed to get the tail end of Ida too in a couple days?

Thats what I hear. I am more on the SE side of VA so hopefully we don't get anything more than just rain. But man this VA humidity is killer. I feel like my body is crying whenever I step foot outside

Stormy here, too. Looks like everything you touch seems to turn into flowering ganja. Nice plants.

So is it safe to assume that cuttings and Rootone or some other rooting hormone don’t work well? I saw a thread earlier today about rooting in water, but didn’t get back to read it yet.
All that stuff works but the oxycloner REALLY works, it has an air stone that bubbles the mild cloning nute solution and wets the stems in a mist rich with oxygen. No magic just cut the stem through a node at a 45 degree angle trim the ends off of all the fan leaves, I dipped em in root tone, and put em under a gentle light. A couple were just tiny little things I just wanted to see if I could get em goin. They all rooted, one runty thing I thought was dead actually came back around but is very small

That’s so cool. And they’ll adapt to soil again after getting roots like this? Or do they go in the tank only?
