So its
So I don’t think the op mentioned what type of promix he’s running if HP then yeah light feeds after 1/2 weeks but if it’s BX it has enuff nutes for 5/6 weeks IMO

I also feel like I treat the ph a little like a soilless mix- Wright or wrong that’s how I feel. only been using promix a couple years though

the FLX with nothing added.. no added nuets just anti microbial . And ive added great white and voodoo juice and the grow a+B advanced connoisseur and cal mag.. learned from the first time to feed first time with transplant.. And I keep my ph at 5.9 that's what the food balances out to ph perfect .. MY RO comes out at 7.1 and after adding calmag and then nuets its at 5.89 .. Am I missing something important?

Your meter is placed properly but it's important to know when the saturation zone hits dry you need to water.... here is a thread that makes it simple. Because you have you meter correct you don't need to place it in the side. Many ppl place them wrong and in that case this thread is a great way to ensure proper readings.

Thank you good sir. I read this a few weeks ago when I had over watered And I was focused on the over watering.. Missed the point clearly.. Ill find my groove again..

Feeding at 350 ppm at transplant and 400 for today's feed .. steadily increase.. RO and calmag between feedings. BUT at this rate that's 10 days between feedings. Since FLX is devoid of nutrients do I need to be feeding every water?

400ppm isn't much, especially if you have bright lights. I'd increase it and feed every water. For the cocoloco, I'd wait till they get hungry then start at 500ppm and work up to 750ish.

Well there are 400 watts of LED in this veg room and 800 watts of LED actual power draw and a 700 watt dual 350 watt cmh in the flower.. Fed yesterday . Before I did I ran a little RO through them to check the run off. PPM on both of them was over 1000 PH at 5.9 somehow. Even though they have only had 1 feeding at 350.. So I ran RO through them until they were back down to 400 and then fed at 450 ppm.. the brighter one is in the PRO mix and the darker one is in the coco loco.. same gallon for both. Not sure how my PPM gets so high. I grew in soil for many years.. Only ever had a PH tester.. never checked PPM before.. So when I started seeing these high 1000 2000 PPM after feeding at 500ppm. Someone had recommended I water until run off before every feed to better regulate PPM in the soil.. Not sure if this is good practice or not..

Organic and bottled nutes don't measure the same. New bags of cocoloco are usually 2500-3000ppm runoff. Promix will depend on what flavor it is. I'm feeding 600ppm in cocoloco and getting 2000ppm runoff. Plants look great. If my promix runoff was 2000ppm the plants would be dead.

Hey they are loading!! So cocoloco on the right. That leaf curl by the box is because the leaf was wet and touching the soil all night.. otherwise looks healthy.. promx on the left.. little brighter. But I'm hoping the deficiency corrects itself.. now that it looks a little hot nuet wise.. Cocoloco definitely more forgiving.. And that little tidbit about the difference between the soils and their PPM. I thought I was loosing my Flippin mind. Definitely going to stop feeding them out of the same jug.. . Would you recommend watering the promx to run off before every feed then? Just to better monitor. I've got 2 fems in 3gal air pots I was about to transplant into 7 gal bags.. Think I'm going to go cocoloco for the other 5 gals. First run in this space and I have too many unknown variables. its making it harder and harder to troubleshoot. Should have stuck with soil I know which is neither. While I dialed in environment and got the hang of LEDs.

I see up and down not left and right. 3 gallon pots can grow big plants. I can't see any reason to ever use a 7 gal indoors.

Sorry coco loco on the bottom promx top.. The transplant rule of thumb I go by is double your pot size.. and ive got roots coming out of every hole on the bottom of these airpots. Which I found out yesterday are actually 2.8 gal the yellow bottom air pots.. So I could get away with a 5 and still be good.. 14 and 16 top FEMs.. scrog net.. going up after transplant.. ..

5 gallon is as big as I get. I grew for years in 3 gallon and only this past year have gone to 5 for my larger plants. I don't think I need a bigger pot than 3 gallon unless I veg for 2 months+ I like 3 gallon because....1 gallon feeds or waters and they dry in 3 - 4 days .....5 gallon takes 1.75 gallons and it takes 5-6 days to dry. With 3 gallon I get to feed once a week..with 5 gallon its every 10-12 days lol......if I could only take 1 pot to a desert Island I would take a 3 gallon.

Man I've got to say thank you. To everyone. Especially aquaman for the detailed FAQs.. and everyone that has stuck with me through this thread and my last. Turns out I've been chronicly under watering and under feeding. Over compensation after my early overwater/feed. Today everyone is really fucking healthy and getting better every day . Time for transplants and scrog nets!!! So unbelievably greatful to everyone for getting me on the right track. I owe a debt here..

I do the watering when the weight of the container the plant is in feels ready. I use 10 gallon fabric bags with ProMix Mycorrhizae, bat guano high in phosphorus, blood meal, worm castings & composted sheep shit, and keep a spare 10 gallon fabric bag with the ProMix mixture in it but with no plant and dry so I can compare the weight. Once the plant in it's bag feels dry as the bag with just ProMix mixture in it going by weight, then I water it. Sometimes I wait until the leaves get droopy, but that can be costly if you wait too long. From my experience, too little water + nutrients is an easier and safer fix than too much water and/or nutrients. Better safe than sorry & sad.

Kudo's to the OP, acknowledgement for help is all we need, I use Pro-mix for seedlings only. It's not Hp or bx just says Premium moisture with peat, coco, mycoriza & perlite. I have only grown in Coco/perlite for 2 runs now & I am hooked. Keep the journey going you'll find your way,SS

Looks dry af... when you have an issue like that you can expect to see the results of that issue from 2-7days later.

Plants take time to respond in showing deficiency so when you see one think back for a week of what may have happened.

It's not a right now thing.
Same plants I started these 2 fems back in August. I had only meant to do 2 autos and 2 fems. I ended up planting 3 more autos . Dumb. Now after a plant hermied, bugs, nutrient problems. I was finaly going to flip to flower. BUT now this. I think they have out grown their pots and im getting salt build ups regularly . Sorry Orange sherbert from barney farms
*7gal air pot coco loco/promix
*humbolt nuets master a b Verde calmag RO water. I HAD TRIED giving them humbolt big up last night as I was going to flip to flower today. And I had some deficiency. And now this. And I'm ready to tear the. Out and start the fuck over. I'm really tired of these 2. Ive been having PH issues.. I feed to 20% run off doesn't matter if ph is 6.9. Run off is still 5.9. If I finish them out. Fairly certain I'm going to need to do regular weekly flushes to remove salt build up.. I tried starting another thread but haven't gotten any responses. So im trying this. Because you have been extremely helpful. Pleassseeeee
