I have 4 Bubble Bomb clones under it now at 100% 24" away from the top leaves giving me a lux of 9,000. That seems a bit low... My first time with led lights I don't want to fry them but I can keep my plants under t5 lights up to 20,000 within a few inches of the lamps without harm, in fact they grow great that close. Learning curve.

I intend on keeping only 1 BB under this light through flower and keep it short and wide to fill at least 4 sq ft. The rest I'll be putting in my other veg room when my current harvest has dried.

how do you keep the plants "short and wide" i topped my ones but they still grew so friggn big
Top and train, although I'm used to t5 lights and I can keep the lamps right on top of the plants within an inch or 2 when they're small a few inches as they grow more and faster. I'm not sure how it'll work with this light as I've heard I can't keep them as close. We'll see.

Top your plants and the tie the 2 new tops down along with the other side branches. Leave the ties in place for few weeks and you will have bushes just like these 2 OG Kush. Leaving the ties in place as the plant grew only helped straighten out the branches even more and when I finally took the ties off my branches look like the ones in the pic below and they keep their shape.

After 1 day at 24" above sitting at 9,000 lux I dropped the light to 18" & put the driver at 90% for 13,000 lux I'll see how it takes that tomorrow and maybe increase the lux again.

Sept 19 I lowered the light again to 13" above and now the lux is around 20,000 on top leaves. I topped 3 of the 4. One of the segments was too short to cut, I like to leave a small stump below my cuts. I'll get it tonight / tomorrow.

I have to apologize to Spider Farmer for sponsoring me with this new light and I can't even get their name right. Dyslexia or just old?

Sept 21 I have the light at 13" above the top leaves with a reading of 23,000 lux @ 90% power growing well. I'll be leaving one plant in this room and move 3 into my larger veg room where I have my last harvest hanging with 2 getting 60hrs of dark before I cut them.

lol I don't know I'll have to read up on it I guess, it gives me numbers that look consistent with my t5's #s . I didn't know that some meters do and some don't.......edit yes it does

when i looked around online i couldn't find the info anywhere. though it did say LED backlight.

do you have a friend close by that you could compare with?

when i bought my meter there were definitely conventional and LED versions available.

Sept 25 update, I'm getting good growth this week after I topped her. I fed 3ml Si/ 3ml Micro/3mlGrow/3mlBloom + 1 ml up. I have the light 13" away and I got Lux readings around 28,000. now at 80%. I've noticed her turning purple, I'll lift the light So I get below 25,000. Somewhere in my grey brain I read vegging plants don't need more than 25,000 lux to grow well. I topped her last week as well so the combination of transplanting, topping & having the light a bit to low added too much stress to this girl making her unhappy so she's turning purple as a complaint......Sorry Baby I'll be gentle this week😙😙

This light is recommended in a 2' x 2 ' tent...I built a space for it at 3' x 4' because of build convenience. being a bit too large I didn't get the reflection off the sides very well. So I built two - 2' x 2' x 3' hinged panda plastic panels to tighten the space.up.

Ya thanks it fits in well with my other rooms / spaces
Sept 29 update
The light is preforming well, I now have it turned to about 65% @ 24,000 lux 12" from the light. I've been moving 3 other clones from this box into my veg room daily for 10-11 hrs per day but not the Bubble Bomb I've labelled BB led. It's staying under the SF1000 through out her grow. I'd like to split her at least once or twice more before I flip her. I'll need to transplant soon into 3 gallon pots.

take it with a grain of salt bro, there's also ones you can get on your cellphone out there. If you got a good phone with a decent sensor, it might be useful also. Light has a lot to do with spectrums, so the meters need to be programmed for the spectral wavelengths. Most meters are geared toward whiter/blue lights, not reds, so keep that in mind. Blue/green/yellow is only part of wavelength on those LED's, they are far more dialed in.

Don't be afraid to dial that light down a bit on the plants, once there hardened. Depending on how many you got under the light. Plants are looking fine, congrats bro, enjoy the ride.😁

I would suggest doing some training. Find a spot where the plant can be bent down, while dodging any of the upcoming shoots, Then drill a hole in that spot. Take some light wire or twine for tiedown. Mash your stem internodes about 2-3 internodes down, find a space you and pinch, then bend over.

All your undershoots will then develop. Make sure the top is level, or lower than the shoots, cause it will come back up on it's own. Here's some examples of my second round of training.

See how many bends, allowing those bottom shoots to move up, then pulling down the top again. Never losing anything.

You might be best served by simply letting them only develop a few nodes, depending on how much light you can give any one plant, but certainly, it increases the budding sites.

Don't be afraid to remove some strategic fans either, to simply get some light to some sprouts underneath, there's more than one way to skin a cat bro.
