Good Morning! So out of my 16 plants (10 in greenhouse, 6 outside) 1, which happens to be the tallest of them all at almost 10 ft, is covered with thin stringy buds with white and red pistils. All the others are doing exactly what one would hope with big fat juicy colas covered with milky terpenes as we get nearer to harvest time. I'm not sure what to do with this one other than possibly use it to make Charas. It seems healthy other than the stems looking too thin to even be able to support anything bigger than what's on it now. I'm letting it go to see what happens but hash might be the only option and I'm ok with that. BTW, all poles and ropes were put up after a huge crazy rain and wind storm when it got blown over. It's in a 30 gal cloth grow pot. Any thoughts?

I guess I was just wondering what to do with a 10 ft tall plant that is covered with thin stringy buds. All my other plants have beautiful thick heavy buds and colas except this one. What I think I've decided i'm going to do is what I used to do up in the Himalayas and that is make hand Charas like they do in Malana (where I've actually been)...

Did you start these plants from seed?

And what strain is this?
yes, I start all my plants from seed. It's a Sativa but some wise-ass friend of mine pulled a few of the strain markers I had in the pots so I'm not positive but it's either a Sour D or Durban Poison... And I've grown a lot of both strains and never seen anything like this!
and there are no pests or mold on the plant but I think it was just a weird freak of a plant that did it's own thing. I've never seen a plant like this... but this does happen in nature all the time...

And funny you should ask as another friend wondered if it was male but it's covered in pistils and calyxes.. and no seeds!!! it's either a mutant or a mixup in the seeds when ordered but I think it will make some great hand-rubbed Charas! the buds are just gonna be too small to smoke.... and I have way more than enough to experiment with...

Kinda looks like a male hemp plant or a wild cannabis plant, which is usually thinner-stringy leaves...

Is there a hemp farm near you? We know someone that had about an acre of about 300 plants, but the hemp farm that was about 30 miles away from him had pollinated his whole grow! 🤯

Weird, never seen anything like it! I just thinned out some of my lower branches, the buds aren't done, almost no brown hairs and sparse still, but I had to for airflow so I don't get mold... anywho... I plan on using all my little popcorn buds to make butter. I hang them by the arms and literally strip from one end of the other into a bag with one swoop per branch once it's dry, like stripping leaves off flowers for a bouquet, then I still cure for a short while, then decarb, then make butter. Tons of uses for popcorn buds that aren't worth the hassle to smoke.
