My first grow is still in process, documented here, and while I'm still hopeful to have some success with it despite complications, I'm trying to get a game plan set for my second grow that I'm hoping to begin at the start of December.
I decided to go with cloth for the airflow and drainage benefits they represent. I'm undecided as to what size pots they'll ultimately end up in (I'm thinking either 3 or 5-gallon pots), but wanted to see if anyone had experience with "grow bags" like these to start the germinated seeds in - specifically the larger option available, the 5.5 x 6.3" ones. It seems a bit larger than solo ups and other containers I see people starting with, but not by very much. While I'm reading review of people who just drop the bags in the dirt, as the roots go right through them, I'm thinking I'll probably just cut the bag off when the roots start pushing through, and drop the plants in their new homes that way.
After that, I need to figure out what sort of containers I'll be using for this indoor-only grow. I wanted to see if anyone had anything to say about these first though, as they'll be the first step in the process for me. Any input would be appreciated.
