Prepping for my second grow, shopping for starter (fabric) containers

My first grow is still in process, documented here, and while I'm still hopeful to have some success with it despite complications, I'm trying to get a game plan set for my second grow that I'm hoping to begin at the start of December.

I decided to go with cloth for the airflow and drainage benefits they represent. I'm undecided as to what size pots they'll ultimately end up in (I'm thinking either 3 or 5-gallon pots), but wanted to see if anyone had experience with "grow bags" like these to start the germinated seeds in - specifically the larger option available, the 5.5 x 6.3" ones. It seems a bit larger than solo ups and other containers I see people starting with, but not by very much. While I'm reading review of people who just drop the bags in the dirt, as the roots go right through them, I'm thinking I'll probably just cut the bag off when the roots start pushing through, and drop the plants in their new homes that way.

After that, I need to figure out what sort of containers I'll be using for this indoor-only grow. I wanted to see if anyone had anything to say about these first though, as they'll be the first step in the process for me. Any input would be appreciated.

I just picked up some that are similar. Have done some soak test and they seem sturdy enough but can still easily be torn. I plan on filling the bags with hyrdoton and then transferring into my DWC system later. We will see how it works

Reviews are real good, save recycling solo cups.
Yeah, they definitely seem more environmentally friendly, and just a more sensible option in every way - that I can think of haha. I guess I'm wondering why I don't see more people using something like this, and making sure there isn't some pitfall I'm not considering/accounting for. From my amateur perspective though, they seem superior in terms of airflow, drainage and even root growth, as the roots should push right through them, at which point they can either be deposited into a larger container, bag and all, or cut off.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only person considering these for marijuana, it makes me a little more comfortable. Do you plan to start a grow diary for that grow that I might follow?

I've never seen those before, the transparency would be cool to have, may have to try those myself. Usually I do solos, just started wk2 of flower on my first grow but went from solo to 1g to 3g to 5g to 10g in 8 weeks...

Holy smokes, 10 gallons. Is that all indoors? I'm guessing that's a large tent, if so. Do you plan to start a diary on here?

Awesome, thanks. I'm not sure how the follow function on here works exactly, but I followed, and hopefully will see when you start your diary.

All indoors, I could transfer my notes I guess. But yes, used 10 gallon fabric bag as I was having issues with nutes and everytime I ran into some trouble l just transplanted and everything seemed to work out. Setup is 4x4, 400w LED@50-70% intensity, use 75% Brut soil / 25% vermiculite, 1x plant (strain Cinderella 99), so far it's about 20" tall and scrogged out to a little over 2'x2'
