Update time:
48 hours after going into Rockwool, all 5 WW autos have popped. Will post a pic tomorrow at 7 days from seed going into water soaking. First seed up was the most vigorous seed root wise. The seed shell refused to drop off today, so the others basically caught up to it b4 I had the chance to give it a hand tonight.
Given the quick turnaround on this grow, (84 days and counting before first rental inspection), it will be a dirt grow not a hydro grow (ie, not putting the CC system together.)
Finally came to the conclusion tonight that i can put the tent and grow lights up for that. My issue was the CC setup and getting it together/down/hiding it within 3 months. A dirt setup means i just have to put the tent, lights and fans/filters up. Easy peasy. I will take it down prior to inspection and 5 autos in 4m2 should get me some nice Christmas buzz for family and friends.
I can veg some photos in the same tent (autos will be on 18/6) for 7-8 weeks prior to inspection. I can harvest autos, take the tent down and get all plants out of the house for a day when the inspection happens. Military precision. Can then put the tent back up, will put the CC system together offsite prior, go straight to 12/12 for the photos and process the autos 24 hours after harvest.
Don’t see why it shouldn’t work. Autos will be picked to a hard date but that is a compromise that can work. Plants offsite and tent down for a day is doable. 7-8 week veg for photos in same tent as autos is doable. Then 6 months to get 2 photo grows before the next inspection.
Eff me if I can’t get it done.

Day 2 of 84, first true leaves after 12 hours under one cmh 315w @ 1.5m. They are autos and have to come down on or prior to day 84😅No pressure. Watering is tricky w the small cubes but i will get them into their final home pretty quick.

Day 3 of 84. Cube in a cube day to give me some peace of mind around moisture supply/stress. These are 75mm cubes soaked in a VERY weak generic fert solution prior to transplant. The plants are basically getting 10 hours nice, protected sunshine outside (high teens Celsius wise) and overnight under the 315cmh in da bathroom. It will be a few days b4 they go into their permanent home and the bigger cubes will give them a bit more stable root environment. Won’t need to water for a few days. Took the egg tray out of the fridge to sit them on and allow a bit of air circulation under the plants. Pretty keen to see what happens over the next few days.
Going to transplant to final home next Mon/Tues.Will put my CC system together between now and then to give me the dirt/hydro option. I am guessing the hydro will be quicker but don’t really know. Any thoughts or inputs appreciated.KK

Day 6 of 84. Getting there. I didnt quite realise how tall the grow buckets were, gotta be close to 5-600ml. That takes a chunk out of 2m vertical but have 4sq m of floor space for 4 plants so horizontal line dancing baby. It won’t matter on the autos but will be super critical for future grows of sativa dominant photos.

The girls are doing well. 10 hours in the sun 7am-5pm,bit of a rest inside then 10 hours 9pm-7am under the cmh. They on the treadmill now.
I will post a weekly photo so we can see growth week on week. Hope to get them into the hydro setup Monday night.

I ordered from CropKingSeeds in Canada. Paid with Bitcoin, they were in my letterbox within 2 weeks. Just getting to the end of my first lot of Green Crack and they are frosty as hell. Got GG4 there ready to run as well. Came tucked into a slit in an inner tube. Highly recommend.

What's in the decanter? Almost looks like Malbec with that pink rim but given your location more likely, Cab Sauv? Also if you've been in the game your whole life, there's zero chance we don't know a lot of the same people hehe. If you know the Oakridge crew we definitely do. Seriously small world.

You are fkn kidding me. Matt (Chef) and Jo(dessert queen) now ex Oakridge are industry buds who have a great thing going at Federation Sqr in Melbourne cbd called Future Food Systems. Check it out, amazing sustainable stuff. We were at the inaugural Seafood Festival w them at Flinders Island 2 years ago.
Oh, and Oakridge Winemaker has his wife buy treats at our shop. Won’t say which of course. And the guy who orchestrates the kitchen garden there helps his wife out in her shop a few doors down and buys coffee off me every day.
An to top all that, the very first wine i ever sold in 1987 in the industry was a 1984 Oakridge Quercus Cabernet when they were still up at Wandin.
Apart from that, I know fuck all about anything or anyone to do w Oakridge 😂 😂 😂 😂😂😂.
Oh, Woollies now own them.

As for the wine in the decanter, premo 2010 Coonawarra Cabernet, lookin at the empty magnum now, god it was good.

I'll guess John Riddich. Matt was a regular at the restaurant I was sommelier in three years ago, and a friend of mine who worked there with me is now one of Dave's rising star wine makers. Have been to a few wine dinners with him over here with suppliers, never a dull moment. Mount Mary guys I've dealt with a lot over the years. First house I ever lived in was in Wandin North. Left Melbourne pretty young though.

Now you guys are talking, brew kits, wine making and cannabis. In the U.S. big companies watered down our beers, wines that give me a headache & china's "green crack" at least in Europe has me growing & brewing as well. Cheers.
