i get it haha there's nothing quite like growing in wool. for all of its flaws (primarily health risks while dry and environmental consequences that aren't real issues imo) it's by far the best medium to grow in. way too easy.

to be honest, this run in rockwool has made me feel like im back at 1st plant and how i was taking care of it so much. If this was in soil or dwc, id be checking ph or seeing if the soil needs water, maybe some training and bending but other then leave the bitch be.

Yep. Probably gonna strip this weekend a couple days ahead of schedule, over a couple beers and some hash. The buds are set.

The process should only take a couple hrs. I tend to be ruthless when I get in there. ND I'll be experimenting with leaving a bit more foliage intact this round I think. We'll see.

They have a lot of growing left to do, I think it'll fill in nicely. You do get smaller buds overall with the full strip method, but they're all ripe right to the bottom. I'm watching intently to see how those do for ya.
Also worth saying.. some strains just don't like that method as much. But I think how hard they rebounded after the first strip should be an indication.

yeah, i think the second one was just more of a shock. they kinda went on pause this week. they were also significantly smaller at the first one, and the process of pulling them out, stripping them, then restacking them into the tent was all very traumatic. they were maybe two foot at the first strip. they're all over 4.5 foot now. well, were. supercropping has em down for adequate light distance now. it's crazy how dense the budsets are already, i've not felt clusters like these at this stage before.

i'm fine with smaller buds, so long the weight is there this round. have plans for next round already, which will be right on the heels of this one, and gotta have the weight to carry through two rounds this time since next round is a preservation run for the dragon's flame blackberry moonshine bx1 seeds i have.

the one positive i'm really stoked about with this method is so long they don't go full foliage on me again, worries about air circulation are non-existent right now. there's not a single area of still air anywhere around any of those buds.

Ok, im surprised again. The LED side buds are bigger than HPS side. Not by a lot, but noticable. Although, the HPS side has a bit bigger bushes, with arguably more budsites.
I need to clean up this rats nest. These things are animals.

@tobh, to add to the thought that the plants can take more food than we think.. I've been feeding these spare plants out of the main res, 1.6ec or so.
They're under T5 so not growing a whole lot, but doin just fine. I don't even give them runoff really. Pour through good once a week, otherwise just daily top ups.

this concept has plagued me for years man.

a plant will only uptake what it wants via its roots. period. just like you can't force feed a person. if the nutrients are balanced, and the pH is right, the plant doesn't give a shit if it's 1 EC or 3 EC. so long everything else is balanced.

However, if lighting is too intense, VPD is off, there's not enough air circulation, or any number of other factors, we run into burn, lockout or deficiency.

everything looks stellar either way. stoked to see how we line up.
