Doing ok over here. Have done what I can for the soil PH (unless someone knows a quicker way). I’ve spoken to BAS, taken the mulch cover off my earth boxes as it was likely just to moist for my conditions. Now I’m unsure (because I forgot to ask) if I should use a mulch like the rice hull on the 7’s. I don’t want it drying completely. Anyway, I’ll look for @stp for help on that. I know he’s using them to great success (in my eyes of course. I’m sure he knows what needs to be improved on his next run).
as far as my ladies and I, I did something before asking, because I’d rather have the forgiveness on this one than the No. I read everything I should, and knew I was taking risks. I’ve been in flower a week tomorrow, so, in my reading, I thought it to be a bit less risky than what some were saying.
After the topping and last defoliation, with the very little time I had to do things, I didn’t go back in after 5 days and should have. They were so bushy, there couldn’t possibly be air getting in and spots were covered everywhere. I did a pretty heavy leaf snip. No branches. Like, I almost gave them a buzz cut. Haha. They did look sad, and I was a bit concerned, like last time, but this morning when the light came on they are standing happy. I have no idea what leaves I cut that we’re needed for “power,” and I will learn from this as I see it. I know I needed to be doing the defoliating all along so it wouldn’t have been as bad. It just kind of crept up on me. Rather than deal with the issues we all know that will cause, especially in a tent, I took a chance. I’m just at that place. I’m ready for the next 7-8 weeks, for the learning, but I really just want it over with now so I can start again, with this experience, and all the knowledge I’ve gotten here, with me.
