If you can add dirt or sand bags around the outside of the shed, it will stay warmer inside, and cooler in the summer.
That means lees electricity for heating or cooling.
Whats the deal? You never heard of thermal sinking before?

Thermal sinking is when you add a lot of solid material (dirt, cement) to the outside of a structure. The thermal mass (sold stuff) collects the suns heat and slowly releases it thru the night to help stabilize temps. This is why caves underground deeper than 8 feet are always around 57-60 degrees.

OMG. That's all you need. You can grow enough in an 8x10 8 foot tall to keep you in weed the rest of the year. Insulate that shed and you can do it twice a year.
I'm not just planning on growing cannabis I intend on growing some jalapeno ,blueberries, marigolds ,kiwi and a couple other things I'll probably stick to 4 plants and kill the 2 weakest keep the 2 strongest I want to study them before deciding to grow more.thanks to this forum/blog think I will catch on pretty quick so far everyone has given me good advice

In that much space you keep your pantry stocked with fresh veggies all year long. Plus some juicy smoke.

Oh yea!! I can't wait to rewire the hanging tube lights in the shed and be able to grow some veggies and fruits in there I might even upgrade the lights for the edibles in the future that would be awsome!

I'm currently growing some marigolds in my room. I'm dealing with a little bug issue at the moment but thanks to @ComfortablyNumb, I have some Lost Coast on the way.

If you have pets, keep them out of the grow area. They are the #1 transporter of stray bugs you don't want. Some growers take even more precautions by changing clothes to avoid accidental bug exposure.

I love giant marigolds. Always have since I was a little kid.

If it was my 8x10, I would run an aquaponics system in there. You would have year round harvests of fresh food and smoke.
I've been looking at some dwc kits on Amazon for the veggies and fruits but I don't have the funds for it yet I wish.
