What companies actually give info?
Who documents their work?
Who does recombinant inbred lines?
Who breeds f1 hybrids from stable, separate inbred lines?
What measurable, constructive tools are available to verify/validate any claims?
Who lists the genetic traits they're breeding towards or away from in a particular line?
I want to be able to sprout 25 seeds, find only 3 or 4 phenotypes, and find a fairly vigorous female of one or two phenotypes and make them mother's. I don't want to sprout 25 f2 seeds and get 12 phenotypes. Not my gig, I can't sprout enough to hunt for specifics. I want the most vigorous specimens of a specific phenotype that reflects the traits the breeder was hoping to achieve. Do breeders still do that?
I think the pheno hunting is cool. I think stable genetics are also cool.
Who has the stable genetics at a decent price who shows their work and/or provides information and detail as to what they were trying to achieve and what results actually were expressed through X amount of phenotype variance? Ffs.
