Dimming has an effect on spectrumYes I seen the increase and watch my meter climb 50+ umol untill I hit the 7th setting. 8 9 and 10 changed nothing.

It doesInteresting. I'd be curious to see if the Wattage bumps up on the 8, 9, and 10 settings. You got a watt meter?
It does just not to the same degreeGood to know.
(that info seems to be related to HID, not sure if this translates to LED)
+1
EDIT: https://horticulturelightinggroup.ca/blogs/news/does-dimming-led-change-spectrum
seems like LED is not impacted the same way
Yes thats not to say there is no impact and you need to verify the curve on power output of the potentiometerView attachment 1256220
Straight from HLG themselves! Probably minimal impact with these new full spectrum LEDs.
I do not but I'm sure I can get one from a friendIt does
Go back and look at their chart… where do you see the huge changes? Below 400 and above 700 which is the par spectrum.View attachment 1256220

This is their chart. Like i say their statement leaves a lot of room for interpretation. And is speaking generally overall impact is low… while above and below par it is not low
Look below 400 almost none at half wattage and then the huge spike at max wattage… that is the UV spectrum outside of par… meaning a par meter will not read it.View attachment 1256222
their chart is a little confusing, but the actual comparison line is almost 100% in line with the non-dimmed light :)
I believe mine advertised as an advanced quantum par meter. But this may be where quality comes into play with comparison to the superior USA product lolSo your increasing the spectrums outside of par at the higher intensity and this a lower visible return on a par meter.
A quantum meter will show this
A quantum meter is big bucksI believe mine advertised as an advanced quantum par meter. But this may be where quality comes into play with comparison so the superior USA product lol
This one msrp at 220.00 usd. You can find these on grow sites for 160 to 170. It worked for meA quantum meter is big bucks
